Poor Shipping

Roaches were poorly shipped, half were dead. Packaging included a fedex box, partial egg container and a quarter size piece of carrot.

No, I do not recommend this product.

DEAD ON ARRIVAL

Do not order dubias or hissing cockroaches. All dead on arrival. Live insects should not be sealed in box with no circulation of air.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Best pet ever!

So, I didn’t buy these guys as a feeder, but I got them as pets from my local petco. Amazing purchase, I got a female pair, they don’t hiss a lot and are so chill. I pet them and they feel like polished wood, when you hold them they move slowly and their legs are a little spiky, but they don’t hurt at all. They’re very easy and cheap to care for, just get a nice terrarium some water and fruit, maybe an egg carton or two and you’re set. Pretty much I just need to refill their water bowl, replenish food, and maybe mist to keep them humid. Very relaxing to watch and surprisingly interactive pets! I highly recommend for anyone looking for a cheap, low maintenance pet.

I didn’t get these from petco, they were a class pet for over the summer. So much fun to care for! They eat oats and cucumbers (cucumbers as a treat) and only a few died. They Did give birth, so by the end I had about 40 little hissers. They were also fun to scare my brother with. So much fun, such low maintenance, and overall an amazing pet!

Delightful Low Maintenance Pets

I got these guys to keep them as pets rather than as a food source. They're easy to keep and fun to interact with. I only docked a star because I was disappointed in the way they were packaged. I bought the 10-pack, there were 11 (yay, bonus pet!) roaches packed in one tiny cup. I know they're being sold as food, but they deserve some space to at least scoot around. Also, fair warning: they don't separate the sexes, so you might get a female already pregnant. One of mine recently gave birth to over thirty little ones. Thankfully I have a tarantula to whom to feed the excess babies, because I don't have the space or resources to house that many.
