- I don't believe acorns will fall through. Maybe debris from squirrels cutting and eating them.

Will the Dalen netting keep raccoons from getting my goldfish?
- Our pond is similar to yours in size and depth. My answer is, absolutely! We reckon that raccoon's have been taking the fish as there are no "remnants" left behind. Using the net for about one month on one portion of the pond, just added it to the "other" side of the pond, which is similar to your pond.

Will the black netting help with blocking the sun's rays, helping with algae control since my pond is in direct sunlight most of the day. Thanks.
- I don't think so. The mesh is 3/8" and the thread material is fairly thin. I can't see much light blockage over my pond. In fact, the netting is practically invisible.

Will it harm pond plants if it rests on top of them?
- My plants weather the winter under our pond net and have no problems. I do trim everything back though as the weather gets cold to eliminate dying leaves/stalks from contaminating the water.
