I mix Hill's for Indoor Kittens with 3 other dry brands -- 30% Hill's. I store all 4 in a side room. Three times now, the cats (8 months old) have torn into the Hill's bags and not touched the others at all. Says to me all I need to know about Hill's.

Healthy food that cats love

My cat loves this product! It's a healthy choice for him that provides all the nutrients he needs as an indoor kitten and he loves the flavor. In fact, he loves it so much that he bit a hole in the side of the bag just to get more haha! The bite-sized pieces are perfect for him and I can leave some out for him to graze throughout the day. I give him wet food 2x a day but this is an excellent addition as far as kibble goes to supplement his diet.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I tried this brand and I've noticed my furball doesn't care for it like the Purina chicken dry food. I don't know if my fur baby is getting picky but she leaves some in the bowl still and she didn't use to leave any it her bowl.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Good dry food. I give my cat wet food and this as a backup during the day using food puzzles or in a small bowl supply if I ma going to be away for a while. I eventually plan to cook food for him and use dry food in food puzzles for filler.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Hi! I have two ragdoll cats and they have the occasional hairball. Does this indoor formula have anything for hairball prevention?

  1. Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately our Hill's Science Diet Kitten Indoor formula does not help with the occasional hairball. We would encourage you to reach out to your trusted veterinarian for assistance with a diet recommendation. Hill's Pet Nutrition

how often do I feed my cat daily

  1. 2-3 i have 3 kitties I give a quarter cup dry twice a day in a multi feeder and they split a 5.5 oz can of wet

What's the difference between indoor and regular kitten dry food? Is it necessary for an indoor 6 month old?

  1. Thank you for your question. Our Hill's Science Diet Indoor Kitten dry food is specially formulated to fuel the energy needs of kittens with an indoor lifestyle so they get the best start in life. This formula will contain less fat and slightly more carbohydrates than our Hill's Science Diet Kitten Chicken Recipe formula. We hope this is helpful. Hill's Pet Nutrition

Until what age should I be feeding my 15 week old kitten the kitten food so I know when to transition to adult food? Also, not too sure if my kittens excessive biting and scratching may be a cause of the food? I am not too sure if he may like it or not.

  1. Kittens play hard. Cat skin is very tough so they can get rough with us. Make sure you tell him no when he is too rough. Start feeding adult cat food around 13 months of age.

My cat is an adult now, but prefers this type of food to others. Is it safe to continue feeding this to him?

  1. Ask your Vet. I believe kitten food has more protein and fat than adult cats need.

Would this be good for ferrets?

  1. Thank you for your question. We recommend speaking with your veterinarian regarding feeding our products to another species. While we have an extensive knowledge of the proper nutrients for cats and dogs, your pet's nutritional needs may differ. Your veterinarian can ensure your pet is getting the proper food.
