Until what age should I be feeding my 15 week old kitten the kitten food so I know when to transition to adult food? Also, not too sure if my kittens excessive biting and scratching may be a cause of the food? I am not too sure if he may like it or not.
- Kittens play hard. Cat skin is very tough so they can get rough with us. Make sure you tell him no when he is too rough. Start feeding adult cat food around 13 months of age.

Can I feed a kitten dry food only?
I have been wondering this for a while now. But I recently (Dec 5 2018) adopted a lovely 1 year old male cat who I was told weighted 10lbs when i got him. Now they did tell me his food (hill science diet adult 1-6) but not how much he was eating. So I followed the guidelines on the bag which said 1/2 cup for a 10lbs cat. He always goes crazy at meal time so I'm worried am I underfeeding him? Also he looks like he's lost weight but I also don't have a scale to weight him and brushed recently

I am trying to help a 13-year-old cat put on weight. He has never liked wet food but I remember helping an older cat with health problems to get some calories by feeding A/D wet food. I rescued 3 feral kittens whose mother died. I’m not sure age I would guess from 12-16 weeks old. I fed them some dry and wet food for one day and then switched to a dry I’ve been consistently feeding them for about 4-5 days. They didn’t have diarrhea at first but each one has slowly come down with it. The one whose had it the longest is drinking and eating consistently and is active. The other 2 have always been more timid. Ones third eyelid is showing a bit but is drinking some still.

Sorry I forgot to ask, Regarding kovu having decreased appetite and losing weight, how much should a 1 year old cat eat? He used to eat 5 or more ounces wet food and 1/2 cup dry food a day. With his decreased appetite he eats no Dry food and anywhere from no wet food, to 1 and 1/2 ounces twice a day. The most he’s eaten since he’s been losing weight was yesterday and he ate 2 1/2 ounces wet food twice
