My dog won’t eat kibbles, mix of kibbles and canned or just canned chicken stew by herself. Won’t eat it. She steals my cat’s Purina Pro Plan caned chicken & rice in gravy

We appreciate your feedback. We could not tell by your post if you had done a gradual transition or not. We generally suggest doing a 7-day transition, as this allows them time to get used to the new flavor and ingredients. This can also help ward off against any sort of tummy trouble. We hope this is helpful.

I have NOT fed it to my dog yet, but he loves wet food. I been guying him little containers of Cesar wet food, but my pet groomer and my vet said don't fee him that, it's just a filler, but I just bought a box before I took him in, so I will let him finish the box. I bought the one can to let him try it, I was waiting until he finished the cesar first. Hope the vet says it's better than the cesar food.

No, I do not recommend this product.

My dogs like the food. I have been feeding them even the price keeps going up. However the last time I purchased the stew became soup! So much water added. No shame?

It is our goal, that with each purchase of your pet's food, that you will experience the same high quality and consistency. However, normal variations in product can occur as a result of normal variations in ingredients or processing. During the processing of this product, the chunks and gravy are combined before filling the can. The mixture is continually stirred to ensure an even distribution of chunks and gravy for each can of product. On rare occasion there may be an opportunity for settling of the mixture which causes uneven distribution of the food chunks. While a can of food containing limited chunks meets the weight requirements, it would not meet our high quality expectations. We understand it is frustrating when prices are increased. We work constantly to increase efficiency and control costs throughout our entire organization. However, ingredient prices continue to rise. We manage a precise blend of premium ingredients to deliver the superior efficacy our customers have come to expect from Prescription Diet and Science Diet pet foods, and those ingredients along with our high safety standards deliver product quality on which we will not compromise. We are certainly disappointed to hear of this report and will be passing this information on to our continuous improvement teams. All of our products are 100% satisfaction guaranteed. If you would like to take advantage of our guarantee, please return the unused portion of the product to the place of purchase for a refund or exchange.

Is it grain free?

  1. Thank you for your question. Hill's Science Diet Adult Perfect Weight Hearty Vegetable & Chicken Stew Canned Dog Food is not considered a grain free product.

MULTI-POO 20LBS. NEEDS TO LOSE WEIGHT. PORTION SIZE? 0NCE A DAY? MORNING?

  1. Hi, my dog did really well loosing weight with this. First, follow the established feeding guide. Based on Science Diet guidelines, I would recommend feeding your dog 2/3 to 3/4 of a can each morning and each night, so 1.25 to 1.5 cans daily broken up over 2 meals. Start switching her food gradually over several days. 1/4 new food and 3/4 old food, then 1/2 and 1/2, then 3/4 new and 1/4 old. This will help to eliminate stomach upset as she gets used to it. Watch snacks as well. Once ideal weight is achieved, it states that she can have 2 cans daily. Feeding 2x daily is preferred over just a morning meal because the stomach can become hyperacidic causing nausea if more than 12 hours elapse between meals. Good luck!

How many cans science food a day to feed over weight 70lb lab

  1. It depends on how overweight. If he needs to be 50lbs. Feed him what the can says to feed for that weight.  Whatever you’re  feeding him you need to cut back. If your feeding him 2 cans a day you could go to 1.5 cans for a month and see if he’s lost some weight.  Good luck!

How many calories in the can?

  1. 698 kcal ME/kg; 247 kcal ME/can This is what is printed on the label
