I always use Hill's prescription canned WD wet and dry food and my dogs love it Lately the wet food (patee) is very gummy and hard to chop up for my small dogs

Thank you for reaching out to us. While it is difficult to tell the exact cause for this change in texture, we can assure you that this variation has no impact on the nutritional value of the food. Some possible causes of the variation are the freshness of the product or temperatures the food has been exposed to during distribution. A freshly produced product can appear softer or stickier and will generally increase in firmness as it ages. Some formulas with higher starch levels, can take longer for the starch to regenerate into a firmer loaf. If you go from using an older can to a newer can, there might be a noticeable difference in texture. We appreciate your feedback and will pass it along to the appropriate department.

Ordered 4 cases and only received 2. Now I have to wait another week to receive it. The least they could have done was ship it overnight. I ordered 4 so I expect 4 to be shipped.

I have bought 4 cases of this food and have been very happy with it. And my dog likes it too. But now I am 4 cans into my 5th case and I don't know what has changed but this stuff is awful! There is absolutely no moisture in these cans. It's so dry it's actually hard to get out of the can. And in my dogs dish is nothing but a bunch of tiny crumbles. I "hide" medicine in his dish every morning and I can't do this with this food. There's nothing to hide it in. And my dog licks it up instead of taking bites. These crumbles are so small there is nothing to take a bite of. I will not be buying this again.

My dog loves this food although she has never turned down anything I have given her that is why I bought this. Doesn't play with toys so we do walks and she eats this food.
