I have been feeding Hill's Science Diet Perfect Weight dry food mixed with their Perfect Weight. Chicken Vegetable Stew (1/3 cup dry, 2 Tbs. Wet, 2x/day). I am thinking of switching to the wet food, which he seems to prefer. If i do, how much should I be feeding him (2 small meals per day)?

I am putting my cat on a diet to shed a few pounds (he is around 18lbs right now). I am going to give him "Hill's Science Diet Adult Perfect Weight" canned wet food. My question is, how much of the canned wet food should I give him per day? Half a can in the morning and then the other half in the evening? These are 2.9-oz cans. I want to do what's best for him. I have an 8 year old female Min Pin / Rat Terrier mix who is about 6 lbs over weight. She’s currently on Hills Science Diet Youthful Vitality, but her vet said she should be on a grain less low calorie food. What do you suggest? My terrier mix (DNA pic attached) turns 1 today (estimated birth date-she's a rescue). I feed her Hills Science Diet large breed puppy formula-I would like to transition her to a new food. She is mildly overweight in which she is active but her hips are probably not as defined as they should be. She currently weighs 68Ibs. I would like to transition her to Taste of the Wild Salmon. I have 4 dogs within my household and we all eat at the same time for dinner and then bowls are up.
