Not for small dogs

Jesse

Bought it for my 10Lb dog under the impression it was SMALL AND MINI bites as it says for dogs under 25 lbs. My Dog tried eating it and it is too hard for her. So she gives up before eating more than a piece or two very misleading.

kibble IS big but doggo doesn't mind

madtowndogmom

the kibble is huge but my small (7lb) dog doesn't seem to mind. in fact she goes for it first then reluctantly eats her regular kibble after. if she's good with it, i have no complaints.

Kibble too large

Ashley

I was excited to try this for my two small dogs who suffer with dental issues, but the pieces are really big, even though it says small breed. I wish this came in a similar size as the other small breed formulas, as I would be a regular purchaser of this. It’s too big for my small breed dogs to eat, unfortunately.

Thank you for reaching out to us. While we strive to create foods which will be palatable and acceptable to all pets, we recognize that not every product will match every pet's preferences. The Oral Care kibble has an innovative texture designed to work like a toothbrush as your pet chews. The larger pieces allow the kibble to surround the entire tooth and gently scrub teeth and reduce plaque and tartar buildup as the dog chews. We appreciate your feedback and we will be sure to pass your suggestions on to the appropriate departments.

Prescription Treats, the best

My 15-year-old Chihuahua with IRIS 3 kidney disease loves Prescription Treats; they even stimulate her appetite for her k/d. Her condition is well-controlled thanks to her food.

By The nutcracker for the small dogs I did!

My dog is 10 lb.. her mouth is smaller than these pieces. There's no way she could even get down to break these open to do what they're supposed to do her mouth is too small.. so I started thinking outside the box.. I got me some nutcrackers and took each piece because she's worth it and broken down to size as she could eat.. and they work great her teeth are clean and white.. but you put us through a big process just to get it this way.. will I try other dental products? Do you think I'd go through all of this if I hadn't tried them? Yes I have but I found this is still the best for her.. so back to nutcracking for my pup the love of my life I will do, well scratching my head wondering why you guys can't get these smaller... Balls in your court.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Too big

For the dogs

My chiweenie dog loves the flavor but it is way too big for her. I’m scared that she will choke on the pieces. This kibble size is more appropriate for my large Rottweiler dog. He eats science hill as well but his kibble isn’t as big as hers. (His is for joint support)

No, I do not recommend this product.

This food is NOT for small dogs!

iRock1977

The size of the food is GIGANTIC!!!! My poor chihuahua has tartar buildup and has sensitive teeth and gums. I have to crush this food in order for him to be able to eat it. They should be AT LEAST half the size they are… quite disappointed.

Too big and hard

JediJ

Too big and hard. I thought this for small dogs but it feels like a jawbreaker. Once I crush it he likes it. I don’t know if that defeats the oral care purpose. But unless a a smaller bite mix comes out I’ll probably stick with the other options you guys have.
