I'm looking for a high quality limited ingredient diet with sodium levels between 0.3-0.5% dry matter basis maximum. Can someone recommend a brand to me? thanks!
This question is for david elezbeth: Is 30-50% carbs an appropriate amount in dog food? I just started my dog on honest kitchen dehydrated dog food and these are the typical range in carbs. Is this to much? Also some reviewers have posted that their dog had more voluminous stool and went more frequently with bits of food still present in the stool. Is this normal? Chloe seems to be doing fine but I am noticing the bits of food in her stool. Is this ok to continue with this food?
Royal canin or earthborn?? Thos are the choices i can buy from now
Hello, I have a two-year-old Staffordshire mix that weighs 44 lb (20 kg). She is moderately active and currently doing intensive behavioural training. We have her on a daily 1,070 calorie diet (as recommended by another vet) and feel as though she's slightly underweight. Can you please advise as to what her daily intake should be and guidance for increasing it? Thanks! David
I have a 3 1/2 year old German Shepard. What would you recommend for his daily food?
Our cat has been on Hills r/d for 2 years and has lost 2 pounds. Is that healthy to be for that long?
Hi I am changing my dogs food due to allergies, he is been taken off chicken and I am trying wainwright’s duck with rice as recommended but his poo is hard and crumbles when I pick it up, will this change in time or do I need to give him something else with it ? Thanks
I put my dog on Hills dry food instead of Purina because he has a really sensitive stomach but his poo smells absolutely disgusting but he's stopped having loose stools like he was having while on the other food. I don't want to change foods again as I don't want to upset his stomach, is there anything I can give him to stop it from smelling so bad? His gas also smells awful
Hey there, we have been feeding my mixed dog rice, ground hamburger, peas, carrots and dog food for about 6 months now and he seemed fine up to now. He has some horrid breath and seems to be losing weight... could it be the food. No bones, ribs or spine are showing.
I have been wondering this for a while now. But I recently (Dec 5 2018) adopted a lovely 1 year old male cat who I was told weighted 10lbs when i got him. Now they did tell me his food (hill science diet adult 1-6) but not how much he was eating. So I followed the guidelines on the bag which said 1/2 cup for a 10lbs cat. He always goes crazy at meal time so I'm worried am I underfeeding him? Also he looks like he's lost weight but I also don't have a scale to weight him and brushed recently
My dog has been on a homemade diet after being diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease. I have been giving high quality lean protein with white rice & squash along with supplements-Hawthorne berry, CoQ10, ipakitine & vitamin b12. Now that I've reduced the protein even more in his meals, he doesn't seem as interested in eating as he was. Can I add chicken broth? Homemade with just dark chicken meat - no bones as I know they are high in phosphorus or will this addition be too high in protein?
