Reciped Changed?

My cat loved it for years but recently the ingredients seemed to be changed to have more liver and it smelled differently than before. My cat no longer likes it. I wish they had the old recipe as an option to choose from

Thank you for your feedback. We are disappointed to hear of your experience. However, we have not recently changed the formulation of this product. It is our goal, that with each purchase of your pet’s food, that you will experience the same high quality and consistency. However, normal variations in product can occur as a result of normal variations in ingredients or processing. While we strive to create foods which will be palatable and acceptable to all pets, we recognize that not every product will match every pet's preferences. The material which you describe may be a chunk of meat or meat tissue. When this product is manufactured, the meat is ground through one-fourth to one-half inch plate, depending on the product. Small pieces are expected as they may pass through the plate and are not harmful in any way. Many pets find these meat pieces very appealing. All of our products are 100% satisfaction guaranteed. If you would like to take advantage of this guarantee, please return the unused portion of the product to the place of purchase for a refund or exchange.

We appreciate your feedback. We could not tell by your post if you had done a gradual transition or not. We generally suggest doing a 7-day transition, as this allows them time to get used to the new flavor and ingredients. This can also help ward off against any sort of tummy trouble. We hope this is helpful. Hill's Science Diet has been the only cat food that my Smidge has ever eaten. She is now 12 years old. The canned food is used as a treat once a day. One tablespoon. Otherwise she eats the dry food. It is always available to eat when she is hungry.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Fast delivery, cats don't eat!

I needed an alternate for the Hill's W/D wet food for my senior cat. This was one of the suggestions by the vet, since she is senior and needs fiber. The texture is almost like a firm sticky pudding. She didn't like it, I offered it to my other senior cat. He wouldn't eat it either. I tried mixing this with other wet food just so they still get some 'safe' food. Ended up throwing out most of the opened cans. Now i;m going to return half a case to the store. In the mean time, I bought Purina senior food which they all love and are doing well.

No, I do not recommend this product.

This is the only wet food my cat will eat! I recently introduced my cat to wet food because she needed to lose weight and the vet said she should have a combination of wet and dry food for a more balanced diet.

Yes, I recommend this product.
