How come there are only one or two flavors in the INDOOR variety of wet cat food? And can only find the chicken in single cans but not the fish.

After cat fight & treated at vet with Covina, rabies, anti inflam shot, my indoor/outdoor cat recovered indoors for 3 weeks. He started going outside again in a limited way. He gained weight. About 2-3 pounds. He is getting a tummy. Pics attached. His diet (per day) is free eating Hills Science dry perfect weight chicken, 2 to 2.5 (3oz cans fancy feast, (about 1/2 can at a time when he requests) & occasionally cooked chicken meat. I am putting my cat on a diet to shed a few pounds (he is around 18lbs right now). I am going to give him "Hill's Science Diet Adult Perfect Weight" canned wet food. My question is, how much of the canned wet food should I give him per day? Half a can in the morning and then the other half in the evening? These are 2.9-oz cans. I want to do what's best for him. Hi I was speaking with one of your vets before about senior diet cat foods that are less stressful on the kidneys. Suggestions were purina pro plan 11+, hills science 11+ & royal canin aging 12+, all canned. He wasn't crazy about these but seems to like hills science diet mature 7+ savory chicken minced canned entree. It says its also lower in phosphorus but would love someone's opinion or experience with this food. Thx!!
My male cat recently had cytene (not sure of spelling) crystals. The vet said he needs to eat Hill's Science Diet canned food. My cat is 15 pounds so that means I would have to feed him two cans a day at a cost of over $100 a month. Is there any other food that I could give him. Right now I am feeding mostly pate cans of Fancy Feast - 4 cats - 6 bowls and I feed separately to one who is old and I do this or she would never get any.
