My 3 kitties’ favorite us the science diet roasted chicken and rice canned food. It has chunks of meat, rice, vegetable and juice. Looks yummy and they never get tired if it. I buy it regularly and I highly recommend this flavor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I adopted a more senior cat from the shelter (aged 8) two years ago. His favorite hobby is eating and his favorite thing is wet food, so he often gulps down his wet food too fast that it makes a reappearance just as quickly. I had him on a different wet food brand for a while and just accepted I needed to portion the food more carefully to avoid regurgitation, then suddenly he stopped wanting it at all (and I noticed it smelled strange, so I tossed it). My vets have always included Hill's among their recommended diets, so I thought I would give this product a try. I liked that it's designed for cats his age with his kidneys in mind,and that I could clearly see the chicken, rice, and carrots when I popped the can. Emerson is crazy for this stuff (see the photo we captured, where we motivated him to pose with an open can of this), and we've seen a dramatic reduction in his regurgitation. The reason that moved me to write this review though? We've monitored his kidney levels since he was adopted. Renal disease is one of the major issues senior cats face, so I've vigilantly brought him in every 6 months for bloodwork. He's sat in the high-normal range for quite a while, enough to make us worry he is likely to develop renal disease but not enough to make us feel it worthwhile to hard-swap to a prescription kidney diet just yet. In the six months since his last check up, I swapped him to this canned food. The results from his visit today? Reduced kidney values. I'm not saying this food is going to completely prevent future kidney disease, but it's the only thing I can think of as to why his values have dropped so much. I'm hoping to find a comparable version in dry food so that I can transition him to that, as well.

My cats like this canned food very much. I put a little with the dry food. My veterinarian recommended this product and other Hill's food products.
