Disappointed with prescription approval process

Pooja

I ordered prescription food for my pet and even uploaded the prescription in spite of that the order was put on hold for 4 days due to pending vet approval.. I really needed it urgently as he has skin allergies and his food was getting finished. I talked to customer care and they told me vet has not responded, i checked with my vet and they never received any message from Petco. I requested to expedite and was told to send the prescription again to the pharmacy email. It finally got approved but i still don't have food delivered yet. Its been a week since i ordered . I had to give my Dog alternate food because of this delay. I just hope it doesn't worsen his condition. If the website has a process to upload prescription, it should be honored. Really disappointing process.

No, I do not recommend this product.

My vet prescribed this for my Shih Tzu 5 months ago and he’s doing really well in it. He’s always been a very picky eater, but he seems to accept this food better than most others we’ve tried. It kind of smells like broth to me, so that’s probably what’s enticing him.

I bought this for my dog, who requires single protein-sourced diet. Hard to find outside of ZD.

My very picky Yorkie pup developed an intolerance to chicken when he turned one. This has been the only food that he likes that solves his dietary issues and provides the proper sized kibble to help ward off dental problems. So relieved we’ve finally found just what he needs and likes!

Yes, I recommend this product.

My vet prescribed this food as an alternative to Ultamino. Unfortunately, the food gave him very severe diarrhea for one week. My dog loved the food, but he will never be fed this again!

Big problem with my dog scratching!!!!!!!!! He is 11 years old and never had this problem! My vet Recomended to switch his food to Hills prescription ZD! I hope this food helps him What is your option  Thanks

  1. My vet recommended this for my older dog because he was having stomach issues. While I think it helped with that, it certainly did NOT help his itching! He’s had skin issues since he was a young and has been on various special diets with no marked improvement. At almost $45 for a 4lb bag, you might want to try something cheaper first.
