Food sensitivities and intolerance are potentially serious problems that can result in irritated skin, coat and ear conditions or even gastrointestinal upset. Dogs that have adverse food reactions due to a food allergy (typically to a protein in the food) or intolerance, benefit from a food designed for food sensitivities. Hill's nutritionists and veterinarians developed Prescription Diet z/d Small Bites clinical nutrition specially formulated to support a dog's food sensitivities. In fact, z/d Small Bites is clinically proven nutrition to help avoid adverse food reactions.

I currently feed my male dog prescription Hill's z/d dry dog food I get from his vet. My female dog, who is on a normal food diet and does not need z/d food, wants to eat only the male's z/d food. It is challenging keeping them separated at meal time. Is there a comparable non-prescription food I can feed my female from Hill's that I can buy from Petco at a (considerably) lower price than the z/d?
What would be the best wet dog food for her weighing 3.3 lbs. 4 years and has Periodontal desease? And can I purchase at Petco or Petsmart? Thank you
I have a blond Mini Daschund 8 yrs old. She is always scratching herself. We have her on Hills Science Diet Small Breed Weight Control Small Bites. She has no fleas or parasites. Hi how would you compare blue buffalo Rx diet HF hydrolyzed canned food to hills Z/d hydrolyzed rx canned diet? Trying to find an alternative to royal Canin Selected protein Rx diets which Trixie will no longer eat .. nor does she like the hills z/d. Thanks
I have a dog with severe yeast on his belly and feet. I bathe him regularly in medicated shampoo but he’s definitely allergic to ALL sugar. Blueberries have a lot of sugar, didn’t work for him. Peas and carrots had to many. I’ve found the spinach with chicken and beans has helped a lot. He is 6 yrs old. Can you give me any dry dog food options that would even work for him? I did find a Science Diet called Z/D. Right now he can only eat what I prepare.
RE: DOG FOOD My dog is eating Hill's science diet 7+ Active Longevity Small Bites (chicken meal, rice & Barley recipe) for years. But I found out Hill's is recalling their dog foods recently and I am worrying the dog food my dog eating now also have the problems. Should I change other brands OR I cook chicken breast with carrot and broccoli for her instead? or other foods you recommend? She had pancreatitis 2 times and consulted the vet and was told she cannot eat too much oily food.

We have a 25 lb labradoodle that must eat hills prescription diet w/d. She has slowly gotten tired of the food and we have been adding bits of chicken and even hamburger to get her to eat. That has been successful but is now wearing off to the point where all she wants is the meat. Any suggestions as to how to entice her to eat? She is healthy otherwise.
Our 1 1/2 year old female ragdoll feline started loosing patches of fur for last 2 weeks. No scabs/raw spots on skin. Vetinarian concludes not fleas or ringworm. No known environmental changes or new house products. Now starting Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein Adult HP for 2-3 weeks in case it's food allergies. It's $50 for 7.7 lbs. Is there a less expensive equivalent Purina or other brand?? Thanks from Florida.
