Thank you for your question and review. To address occasional cosmetic blemishes found in Prescription Diet w/d Multi-Benefit Vegetable & Chicken Stew Dog Food, we are implementing a temporary solution by producing these cans upside down. This interim, proactive measure helps to prevent these cosmetic blemishes. Rest assured, this change has no impact on the safety or taste, allowing pets to continue enjoying their favorite foods without any concern.

Inconsistent

My dog is Diabetic and needs to eat this food but it has become extremely inconsistent. One day it is very soupy the next its almost pate. Paying a premium for this dog food id like to see more consistency.

It is our goal, that with each purchase of your pet's food, that you will experience the same high quality and consistency. However, normal variations in product can occur as a result of normal variations in ingredients or processing. Your feedback is certainly valuable to us and will be passed on to our continuous improvement teams. Hill's Pet Nutrition

Stew vs. pate

Dog prefers the stew over the pate because it is more like his previous non-prescription dog food. He took a liking to the stew right away.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hill’s Prescription Diet Chicken Stew

This specific Hill’s Prescription Diet was recommended by the vet when my shih tzu had a bad case of the runs a couple of weeks ago. I mix 2 heaping tablespoons in with 1/2 cup of Purina Small Bites dry food, and my dog loves it. Your vet must prescribe it. My dog finishes a can every 3 days. Keep the can refrigerated and don’t keep it for more than 3 days.

Yes, I recommend this product.

This new case of w/d veg & chicken is very watery

Disappointed

This new case of w/d is very watery and doesn't have as many chunks of meat as it has in the past. More like chicken soup. I'm glad I'm not feeding only this product to my dog.

  1. Our boy was diabetic with stomach problems. This was prescribed by the vet to control sugar and weight. It should be healthy but he wont gain weight. If he needs to add then you should get him puppy type. They have different needs.
