My GSD was stressed after coming home from being boarded, and refused to eat for a few days. She also had what we thought was stress related diarrhea. My Vet suggested I add a bit of Dr.Hill's ID Stress Rice,Veg, Chicken Stew to my dog's diet. It worked like a charm. Her appetite returned and her poop is back to normal. Thank goodness our Vet keeps this in stock!

Pancreatic Dog No Longer Suffers

My rescued-from-early-life-neglect has pancreatitis. For the first year I had him, it was really tough to get him to eat anything but human food as that's all he'd gotten as a puppy. I got him at about 10 months old. I tried everything, but he just wouldn't eat. When he would finally decide he liked something, he'd get very sick. Finally, he was diagnosed with pancreatitis and put on a very low-fat diet. Most low-fat foods were not tempting to him. Finally, the vet suggested this, and he eats it readily. I mix with a low fat kibble, boiled ground turkey, and some peas & carrots. I am thankful for this food, and so is my dog!

My Story

Marty

I recently moved from the home I lived in for 10 years with my collie. I never thought the stress of the move would effect my dog. After the vet giving meds for 2 weeks the digstive issues didn't go away. We did a stool sample and the lab reported negative to parasites. On my vets advice he suggested Hills Presription digestive care. I/d. I brought it in chicken stew version and within days the entire problem went away and she has perfect stool and I can tell was feels better as well. I never would have thought stress of moving would cause such an issue and a simple fix like changing dog food would correct it.

What is the moisture levels? My dog suffers from hernia and had surgery already, I want to play it safe with his food. Needs to have high moisture.Reason I switch to wet food.

    1. The food is very moist like a stew. My pup has major tummy issues and is on this food for life. She loves it and gobbles it up.

    1. Thank you for your question. There is 119 calories per can. Hill's Pet Nutrition

Would this good for my 5 1/2 pound Chihuahua who is recovering from pancreatitis? She doesn't like the Digestive Care i/d with turkey.

    1. My 2 rescue bichons were given this by my vet. It is the i/d low fat chicken stew. My boy had extremely severe pancreatitis, my girl was on her way and she's an extremely picky eater. They are both amazing. LOVE THIS, even my picky princess. Yes. This will help but please mention it to your vet. I hope this helps you. Best of luck to your furbaby.
