Prescribed by Vet, my dog loves it! I am shocked. But I ordered on June 30th and didn’t get it until July 8th.

No, I do not recommend this product.

My Yorkie is a very picky eater and was having some digestive issues her vet recommended trying this can of wet dog food at first I was worried because my dog doesn't like turkey and she has a thing with texture and she only like beef or chicken well let's just say as soon as I put the bowl in front of her she sniffed it and gave it a lick and started eating it something she never does I was surprised 😮 I couldn't believe it she actually loved this food she has been eating it for a week now and so far her stomach feel so much better and she really enjoys the favor I guess since this is a temporary food let's see if she gets back to normal with her regular dog for and if not my vet has insured me she will provide me with some refills to purchase some more cans if she unable to return to her regular dog food ..now I knw what food to give her if her stomach acts up again then I will stay giving for long term ..

Found a way to fool my dog into eating this food

Let me tell you how I was FINALLY able to get my GP puppy to eat this sh$t. My vet gave us the ok to add steamed white rice to the food. I would make a "soup" with hot water and stir the food and rice together really well. I would let it cool a bit and he would sort of lap it up. I also found that if I held his bowl up off the floor under him he would eat it a little easier. Good luck. I thought I was going to have to toss the two cases we bought because initially he refused. Hopefully I can help others (who paid a nice penny for this food) not have to throw out unused cans. Never had to use this before so I can't attest to any change in formula. It seems like it is very "pasty" which makes it hard to eat.

While it is difficult to tell the exact cause for this change in texture, we can assure you that this variation has no impact on the nutritional value of the food. Some possible causes of the variation are the freshness of the product or temperatures the food has been exposed to during distribution. A freshly produced product can appear softer or stickier and will generally increase in firmness as it ages. Some formulas with higher starch levels, can take longer for the starch to regenerate into a firmer loaf. If you go from using an older can to a newer can, there might be a noticeable difference in texture.

Our vet had prescribed i/d when our dog was having gastric problems and once this was resolved we put him back on the Hills dry food.Later, when he became reluctant to eat we put him back on i/d and what a difference. He was like a puppy again(at 11 years old).We will keep him on it permanently. We have had no problems with quality or consistency.

Vet gave us for our 16 week old lab who was having issues w diarrhea. Said to make small meatballs to administer the medication. (Pills) Worked like a charm. Puppy loved the turkey flavor so we started mixing in w his kibble.

My dog gets it stuck in teeth and nose and is sneezing after each meal for at least 20 minutes...I don't think this is acceptable for her health. The former formula did not do this.
