Works like a charm.

My poor cat had diarrhea for some when the vet mentioned trying this product. Worked like a charm!! No more diarrhea!! I wish I could buy in smaller quantities at the vet's as the 8# bag will last 6 months or longer. By that time, the taste has gone, evidently, as she won't eat it. Also, I wish it came in a salmon flavor since that is her favorite. Really expensive, but worth it.

Thank you for your review. Properly stored food should remain fresh and palatable until the Best Before Date. However, for extremely finicky pets, a bag opened for multiple weeks may no longer have the same aroma. We suggest keeping the food in the original bag with the top tightly rolled. The cost of research and development to uphold our uncompromised quality and superior nutrition is reflected in the price of the product. We will be sure to pass along your feedback to our team.

Best Food Ever!

I fed I/D to my 2 cats, Jake and Elwood, for 14 and 16 years respectively. They loved it! Early on, Jake had problems digesting whatever I'd been feeding them and the Dr recommended I/D. I'm so glad she did!

Took longer than expected. Cans arrived dented. Prices are high and it's a game for coupons.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I Have A Whole New Cat

Cindy

When I took my cat to the emergency vet, I didn't think she would be coming home. She had gone downhill so fast. After a couple days she was sent home with a prescription for i/d and within a couple weeks I had a whole different cat. Her ribs and spine are no longer sticking out, her coat is beautiful, her tummy is round, and she is out and about, demanding attention. I look at her and am amazed. The only problem is that the other animals in the house - 2 other cats and a dog - think i/d is as delicious as she does.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the 3rd time writing a review because they don't post 1 star reviews. Beware that they don't allow bad reviews or listen to constructive feedback. This food has been out of stock for 2 years.

This food really helped my cats!

This particular prescription diet has really helped our 15 year old female cat. She has a sensitive stomach and has been very prone to hairballs and vomiting. I/d has really calmed her stomach down. She's also been able to gain a little bit of needed weight. Our 13 year old male cat with hypertension and hyperthyroidism also has a sensitive stomach and needs to gain weight. This has been a very good dietary solution for him.

Can I just buy a couple cans of this instead of the entire case?

  1. I tried to get individual cans too, but Petco's site won't let me do it. You might get a local store to get it in so your cat can try it before you have 24 cans!
