Urinary Care A healthy bladder starts with the right balance of vital nutrients. Excess minerals can encourage the formation of crystals in the urine, which may lead to the creation of bladder stones. They can cause discomfort and lead to more serious problems that require the care of a veterinarian. Stress in the home has been shown to negatively impact bladder health as well.

Hill's nutritionists & veterinarians developed Prescription Diet c/d Multicare Feline Stress clinical nutrition specially formulated to support your cat's urinary health while also managing stress. In fact, c/d Multicare is clinically tested nutrition to lower the recurrence of most common urinary signs by 89%.

 • - Contains ingredients to help manage stress
 • - Dissolves struvite stones in as little as 7 days (Average 27 days)
 • - Formulated to promote a urinary environment that reduces the risk of developing struvite & calcium oxalate crystals
 • - Recommended for lifelong feeding of adult cats

Squirtthe cat

Petco is the most incompetent business I have ever dealt with. Prescription sent to them 8 times by upload and email. 6 times on Chat that is saying I need to upload prescription, not able to talk with anyone by phone. I am disgusted. My kitty, Squirt, life is being put in jeapody. I purchased 4lb instore, they have no more.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hills Prescription Diet Urinary Care c/d for Cats

Lady Murphy

This was recommended by our Veterinarian for a urinary tract problem with our cat several years ago. We have kept her on the prescription dry food and she loves the chicken flavor. We did try the canned c/d for moist food, but she won’t eat any canned food. We make sure she drinks a lot of water because of the strictly dry food diet. We do add Fancy Feast Appetizers daily so she at least gets some liquid. We haven’t had urinary issues since she started the Hills c/d.

Yes, I recommend this product.

DIFFERENT CAT in 10 DAYS. Several surgeries and inflamed bladder had taken my cat's vigor.

My daughter's male cat (4 years) has had blockage (surgery correction) etc..... 2 years ago. 3 or 4 months ago (he is indoor/outdoor cat) the neighbor's cat attacked him leading to a torn eyelid and then two surgeries to fix his eyelid. In taking him back and forth to the vet, I noticed one day he had leeked urine in my car and it was pink. Another ER visit later and he was diagnosed with an inflamed bladder all while dealing with post surgical cone, visits to surgeon, etc. No infection, no crystals just inflammation. He did anti inflammatory meds and two weeks later still peeing pink urine. Everything started to align when I researched the inflamed bladder issue.....all related to stress. A cross country move, fight with another cat, two eyelid surgeries. For months now, I have wondered why he wasn't like he used to be....playful, etc. He has just been lethargic with no obvious symptoms of being actually sick. Vet recommended the stress cat food. I started him on this food about 7-10 days ago. I'm weaning him off his other store bought food. Last night, out of the blue, he came to me while I was eating dinner...reaches up and taps me with his paw....his sign he wants to play. So i stopped and played with him. He hasn't done this in months. He wanted to play off and on all night. This morning, same thing. Playful, jumping under the covers as I made the bed....jumping at my feet from under the bed.....these are things he used to do that he just started again. I pray there is no more urine in his blood, but if I'm judging his health by his behavior, he is much healthier and happier. I also pray that its the food....its the only thing it can be. I'm so grateful .

Helps stomatitis

Sahara

My cat has stomatitis - red and painful tongue and gums, very bad breath. The vet said all they could do was to remove all his teeth. I said no. He developed urinary tract problems later, so I started feeding him c/d. His tongue and gums are now normal and no more bad breath.

So tasty that every cat in the house wants to eat it

Just started my 10-month-old cat on this less than 2 weeks ago in hopes of getting his FIC under control. It's too soon to tell if it will help with his FIC (in fact, he had an episode within days of switching), but he really likes it. My only complaint is that the 4 other cats in the house desperately want to eat it too, even though they also eat Hill's food. Apparently, it is very delicious.

Questions

1 - 2 of 2 Questions
Sort by: Newest Answers

Why is it so expensive?

 1. My cat used to have other varieties of dry food. She had UTI once at 2 yrs old. I took her to see vet just in time and had antibiotic. Then, vet prescribed her this dry food, and we tried for a small bag, and she loved it right away. It has been another few years and no more UTI incident. I haven't switched back to regular dry food, but she is happy with this. The money saved from going to vet can well spend on better dry food. Oh, I mix this kind with Blue Wilderness in her diet, she still finishes this one and leftover the Blue Wilderness for supper =D

My cat urinates alot my vet says she is not diabetic and it's probably just because she is older and having kidney issues will this food help to reduce the amount she urinates?

 1. If your cat is going more because of stress induced urinary issues, then this could help (works for my cat). It may be worth getting a smaller bag to try out and see if it makes a difference. I would think you should notice a difference in a couple weeks if it does work for your cat.
