I bought this a month ago, but had to revert back to the other Hill's cat food I usually order that my cats liked better. They just didn't like it as well.

Great food

I did the order weeks ago and happy I did. The doctor prescribed for urine problem food for my cat since he has crystals in his urine and pee outside the litter box. He loves the dry food than the wet. Now I can find more "treasures" in the litter box. Another reason might be helpful is that I changed the litter to Dr. Elsey's, I can tell that he likes it.

I have been feeding our cats C/D for over 25 years and will continue to do so. I am just delaying the order because we have several months worth on hand at this time.

Works well for my cats

My two cats have been on this cat food for over 5 years, and are doing well on it. They are both 9 years old. They are starting to put on weight, and our vet wants us to reduce the number of calories they are eating. How many calories are in a quarter cup (or tablespoon or other measurement) of this food?

No Crystals!

Suz

My cat has been on this food for a year. His crystals are coming back but he sneeks my other cats food. I try desperately to keep him out of it but he is a master at waiting for me to turn my back for even a second. I truly believe that the Hills Urinary Care has kept the crystals from forming. For almost a year. I would rate 5 stars but he did prefer the taste of other foods. I would definitely recommend this product.

New shape - half the size

DC

The shape and possibly formula for this has changed. They are around half the size they used to be and they do not keep my cat full for nearly as long anymore. This change is in-line with what Hill's did to their other kibble pieces. The only reason I stuck with them was due to the fact the larger kibble worked best with my slow feeder. Will have to look for an alternative after 10 years! A shame.

Thank you for reaching out to us. We are disappointed to hear of your experience. This product has not undergone any recent formula or kibble changes. It is our goal, that with each purchase of your pet’s food, that you will experience the same high quality and consistency. However, normal variations in product can occur as a result of normal variations in processing. For each of our dry products, we have defined kibble size specification ranges that are maintained for each production batch. There can be kibble size variations from bag to bag which are still within specification for the product. Smaller kibbles could be due to a new die plate: After a new die plate is installed, kibbles may appear smaller. These normal variations will have no impact on the nutritional value of the food. We appreciate you contacting us and will forward this to the appropriate departments for further review.
