I have been buying this for years with no issues, but the last batch I received the recipe has changed in some way. There is obviously way less meat and way more broth in the food. At least a 25% difference. Very disappointing. The food was perfect before but I may have to look gor something else.

Thank you for your feedback. It is our goal, that with each purchase of your pet’s food, that you will experience the same high quality and consistency. However, normal variations in product can occur as a result of normal variations in ingredients or processing. During the processing of this product, the chunks and gravy are combined before filling the can. The mixture is continually stirred to ensure an even distribution of chunks and gravy for each can of product. On rare occasion there may be an opportunity for settling of the mixture which causes uneven distribution of the food chunks. While a can of food containing limited chunks meets the weight requirements, it would not meet our high quality expectations. We are certainly disappointed to hear of this report and will be passing this information on to our continuous improvement teams.

This stuff is amazing!

Omg my dog LOVES this food! She literally jumps around in circles when she sees me open the can. Instead of just the boring dry food which she still also loves I mix the 2 to give her some extra flavor and moisture to her diet. Her coat shines and is SO soft after a couple weeks on this food, highly recommend!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Kira likes this food!!

currently we feed 1/4 of a 13oz can in combo with a little more than 1/4 c of dry RX C/D by Royal Canin, food 2 X daily. we also use the Hills RX C/D hard treats (bone shaped) as she can have up to 3 a day as opposed to the soft baked which is 1 daily. We almost lost Kira, our 8 yr old Shih Tzu, d/t complications from surgery to remove struvite stones in March of this year. She was transitioned to the RX diet from a raw diet which at first was quite trying for all. she can be picky and this combo is working well. We are also hoping to obtain coupons to help offset costs as my husband is on disability and looking on how to go about that. any info you can provide is much appreciated.

We are glad to hear you know the importance of maintaining a healthy weight for your pup. Finding that perfect amount to feed can sometimes be difficult. Just as eating amounts vary from person to person, eating amounts vary from pet to pet. If you are feeding the recommended amount and seeing some weight gain, we encourage you to speak to your veterinarian for additional feeding suggestions and to rule out any other causes for the weight gain. How much potassium citrate milligrams are in one can?

Why is the canned Prescription Diet Urinary Care dog food SO dry? You did send me a coupon because of my last complaint but it is for a case and that is too much for me to buy at one time. I just feed my dog a teaspoon daily with her dry food.

    1. if you buy the stewed kind it's not as dry

My dog has been on the CD Chicken Stew with Vegetables for several years. His liver enzymes have been out of range. He also eats the dry CD chicken flavored. Could the canned food cause the liver values to be high?
