One of our male cats recdently had a blockage and we had to take him to emergency. We got there in the nick of time, he was going into kidney failure! Naturally he now has to be on special prescription food. The Hill's c/d he doesn't like at all. The Royal Canin he tolerates but will hardly eat it. I always try to mix something else in but it's just a chore to get him to eat now and the poor guy is hungry. He does love Royal Canin's dry SO food and treats. What else can I feed him?
I feed my cat Hill's Prescription Diet k/d Early Support Chicken Canned Cat Food, and order it from chewy.com, but the are out of stock and vet doesn't carry it. She has only 10 cans left. Is there any other place to get this food quickly?
My male cat has to get off of orijen and should only eat a wet food to prevent urinary blockage and promote urinary health. The vet recommended s/d feline but are there other canned wet food brands that are good for preventing urinary issues and crystal that do not have wheat, corn, soy or by products? My cat was almost two he was diagnosed w/FLUTD and had crystals in his urine. He had a perineal urethrostomy after being diagnosed. He was originally on hills science c/d and s/d but that became very expensive. He has been one Purina One urinary tract health dry food for about 1.5 years and has had no urinating issues. I want him to lose weight (18lbs) & don't know if his wet food should be urinary or weight loss focused and what his dry food should focus on since I'm doing a mixed diet.
My 8 y/o male cat had his first bout of cystitis a few weeks ago, my vets only solution was to give Rx food (Hills, Royal Canin or ProPlan) these all have fish products in them (even non fish flavors) and my cat is allergic. They have no other suggestions and said he will have another issue if he's not on that food. I've read about Wysong Uretic wet food, Wysong Biotic ph- supplement, Cystease, Tinkle Tonic, etc - would anything else work as an alternative? PLEASE HELP!

My 1 year old cat had a lot of blood in urine for 3 weeks. and was put on Hils C/D food (I only feed dry.). Ended up she had bladder stones (seen through X-ray) When surgery was done, there were no stones found but the vet did discover bladder wall was thick and did scraping of it. Recommended feeding Hills C/D for life. I’m fortunate that after surgery, antibiotics and 2 more X-rays it only cost me $1000. So far $1400. What is you opinion and are there any treats that she can be fed?
trying for 3rd time. My cat needs IBS/IBD diet. Low fat high fiber. I like Wellness and Blue but they have too much fat. Can you recommend a low fat mature canned cat food? Could I also add organic oat flour? I have 4 cats, aged 10+ years. Thank you.
