My kitty is prone to UTI’s and I have to purchase this expensive food. I think she has put on some weight with this food. I totally understand and trust Hills brand. Think I could get some coupons? Thank you

One morning at 2:00 a.m. I awoke to my male cat yowling in the house. Suddenly, I found myself anxiously attempting to assess what was occurring. He then urinated in an inappropriate area and that was all I needed to see to know that we had an urgent situation. At the Vet. he was diagnosed with a severe case of cystitis with crystalluria, a serious situation, since crystals can potentially cause urinary blockages which can be fatal if not treated immediately. He was placed on antibiotics, pain meds and Feline C/D Multicare dry and canned. To his dismay, no more grocery store treats! To my surprise, this notoriously picky cat loved both versions of the food! At his three month checkup-No bacteria and no crystals! This food is keeping him healthy and preventing further expensive trips to the emergency room! Thank you Hill’s for a quality product that does exactly as it claims!

Too much rice and starch

Kitties don't need rice.

We are outraged at the amount of plain white rice in this food. Cats do not eat rice in the wild. There are at least 35 large rice grains in each small can. We would gladly pay the same price for this food without added rice or starch.

Thank you for your feedback. Making a high quality pet food requires a precise blend of ingredients to meet a specific nutrient profile based on a pet's life stage, lifestyle or disease condition. We combine nutrient-rich, high quality ingredients to create balanced foods that have been trusted and recommended by veterinarians for more than 50 years. Grains supply valuable nutrients including fatty acids, proteins, and vitamins. When properly ground and cooked, grains become very digestible and bioavailable to pets.

good stuff to help stop boy cat blockages

my cat didn't love it at first but i mixed it in with his old food and now he loves it; and, his vet says that it SHOULD help him keep from getting blocked again which was an awful experience whether from the perspective of either the cat parent or the cat.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Works wonders, but cat just doesn't like the flavor. Wish Hill's made more flavors and made this more affordable, as the price is outrageous.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Good but expensive

He eats it. That's what matters. But the cost is outrageous particularly because I have to feed him two small cans daily. It would help if Hill's packaged it in 5.5 oz cans to reduce cost and price.
