A miracle for sick dogs/cats

Bumi

I got a few cans from my vet when my dog was super sick from ehrlichia and wasn’t eating. Under my vet’s guidance, I was able to make this into a slurry and syringe feed it to him when he was refusing to eat anything. I very genuinely believe this canned food helped save his life

Our dog is very picky about her eating of dog foods and we've tried lots. The vet gave this to us to give to her after fasting and much to our surprise she ate this food without any hesitation.

Dog with Leukemia 12 yrs old. very active until recently. his taste buds are changed and he has a lot of nausea and weight loss. This product is the only thing that I can get him to eat some days. He is very picky now, and this formula is the ONLY thing he enjoys eating. I just have to make sure to give him a little at a time because, frankly, he LOVES IT!!

Dosage for a 40lb dog is 4 cans a day via 30ML Syringe 20 times a day!?!

VinUnleaded

We were told by Vet (USA) and Hills Feeding guide (Australia, as last week could not find USA), to work up towards 4 cans a day w/ each can being 5.5 oz. or 162 ML x 4 = 648ML to maintain a 40 lbs. or 18 kg. weight for our 16 year old female Siberian Huskey who has borderline or high Kidney Values, on/off anemia, on/off UTI and GI infections, after her most recent infection where she stopped eating for a week now after 3 weeks of reduced appetite 50% of normal diet. 648ml per day divided by 6 feedings is IMPOSSIBLE unless you have a feeding Syringe of 30ML or larger and feed 20 times a day! Am I missing something?

We appreciate your feedback. For critical care, 648ml is the starting amount for a 40lb pet. Please consult your veterinarian for more information on how much to feed your pet. Hill's Pet Nutrition

We used this preserve on our sick and old animals for many years. All animals refuse to eat this favorite food after the recent changes in design and size. The structure and smell of the food has also changed. We are saddened and disappointed. We are looking for alternative food.

Thank you for your review. We apologize for any confusion, however, we have not made any recent formulation changes to Prescription Diet a/d. While we strive to create foods which will be palatable and acceptable to all pets, we recognize that not every product will match every pet's preferences. We do offer a full line of foods. We suggest speaking with your trusted veterinarian to determine which product would be a better fit for your pets.

My dog has high ALT and has lost two pounds and is down to 8 pounds now. She has no appetite/what can I feed her to gain weight and energy?

  1. Find a good vet for her. Doesn't sound vet you have now is doing right for her.
