Bought this for my albino cory catfish and mystery snail to make sure they were getting enough to eat. My snail can't get enough of it- he's been munching on the same tablet for ages and he won't leave it alone. Even my black velvet mollies seem to like it. The catfish doesn't seem very interested but I think it just comes down to preference, since my other fish are so infatuated. The tablet has been in the tank for quite a while and has broken down into several pieces and yet it hasn't clouded the water at all. Will be buying again!

Yes, I recommend this product.

I found my cobra guppy dead less than an inch away from the algae wafer. It also expands 3 times the original size.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Plecostomus would eat it

Plecostomus would touch these. They disintegrated in the bottom of the tank, uneaten. The remainder of the bag went to the compost bin. Reading the ingredients, which I should have done before buying, the 'dried seaweed meal' is 6th on the list. Labelling these 'algae wafers' is misleading. The ingredient list looks more like a standard goldfish or cichlid pellet.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hikari Tropical Algae Wafers

I’d gotten rid of much of the algae in my tank so got these wafers for my algae eaters but none would even touch it ... my octo, amano, and nerites just let the wafer disintegrate for two days before I finally removed it ... based on reviews, I thought they would love these ... I must have picky eaters.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Algae Waffers

Hikari Algae Waffers are the highest quality waffers. My Pleco who is about 18 inches long loves them, he gets 4 to 5 a day of the large waffers. They hold together in the water which gives him time to eat them. Others I have tried fall apart pretty quick and the Pleco doesn't have time to eat them.

Yes, I recommend this product.
