I love Higgins Mayan Harvest Cockatiel food, and that is what I ordered. However, I was mistakenly sent food for large hookbills. I had to purchase from another source since Petco was sold out.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I have been trying to find other brands with good ingredients to helps spice up my bird's food life. I mix this with Harrison's fine lifetime pellet (my bird's refuse to eat TOPS or roudybush) and I also found a site called thebestbirdfood.com and mix their Basic Bird Nut-Free! - BirD-elicious! food in the mix (good ingredients and my birds eat it). i also have tried the higgins add water and cook blends in a small pouch bag, my birds like it ok, but not their favorite.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Would this blend be appropriate for my African Grey. He is extremely picky about what he will eat. I've tried several other brands with blends of seeds, dried fruit, peppers etc. He only eats the seeds and throws out everything else such as the dried fruits, corn, beans, peppers, coconut etc. I end up throwing out at least 2/3 of the bag. Please help. Thanks

No, I do not recommend this product.

Green cheek conure likes it

My green cheek conure likes this mix—hooray! He will not eat pelleted food. This mix has a nice variety and he is interested in most of it. I wish it didn’t have so much white millet. It is too small for my conure and he won’t eat it. I was pleasantly surprised this morning when he was on my shoulder and I noticed his breath smells like licorice from the anise! I’ll probably keep trying him on a pellet diet occasionally, but in the meantime, this mix is working well.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I have a quaker and cunure this brand is a good option for them??

  1. golden feast is the king of foods as far I am concerned. I bred birds and sell babies and this is what I suggest everyone to get to blend in or give as a small container ...

Confused about the ingredients!

  1. liam, there are no snflower seeds in the shell for sure. There are a number of smaller seeds, and I am not sure if I could distinguish an out of shell or sunflower chip from anything else. Keep in mind that items vary at times likely based on availability, price and other factors.

I own a Parrotlet. I was wondering if you can recommend a type of food. I have tried the Vokmann Parrotlet seed, but She doesn't seem to love. Thanks.

  1. My parrotlets like Roudybush mini or crumbles. For variety I also feed a small amount of ZuPreem Pure Fun and they go crazy over that.
