I have a 22 year old Timneh African Grey parrot. I have used Harrison's pellets medium size in the past. It has been discontinued. My parrot won't eat the fine size and drops the large size into water. I need suggestions of what else to use.
List of the best bird foods for parakeets
I am looking for the best pellets for my canaries. Last year they were on a seed diet, but I slowly switched them over to Zumpreem Fruit Blend. However, I've read that the Fruit Blend has a lot of artificial coloring and sugars. I'm having trouble finding information for what the best pellets are. Please help!
I have 2 parakeets and I have been feeding them seeds and millet. I believe that what I am currently feeding them is not nutritious. We have a 2.5 year old green cheek conure with a Vitamin A deficiency (her papillae count was two!). She just got a vitamin injection. We have been feeding her Dr.Harvey's Perfect Parrot and Exotic Parrot for the last 10 months (she was eating ZuPreem pellets, but we wanted a more natural option). How can we supplement Dr. Harvey's to ensure she gets enough Vitamin A and other nutrients? Is there anything wrong with Dr. Harvey's? And how soon can we supplement Vitamin A after her shot?
