Hi, Doctor, thank you for taking my question. I have a 13 yr old Maltese male and he is very aggressive to other dogs. My daughter will bring her Australian sheepdog puppy to our house on Thanksgiving. I'm thinking of giving my dog some organic hemp/valerian calming chews (hemp seed oil 125 mg & hemp protein powder 75 mg). Considering my dog's age, do you see any problem with that?

Hi I am dog sitting a 2.5 year old lab. He got in the cabinet and ate about 50-55 of the nature vet hemp quiet moment calming aid treats. I am really concerned and don’t know what to do especially since I’m just watching him and he isn’t my dog. He’s about 50-60 pounds again not sure! But is there any side effects or anything I should look for? Side effects? Thanks again for the help.
Our vet suggested Composure Soft Chews for one of our dogs. We recently adopted him and he's probably just over a year but acts like a hyper 6 month old puppy. Can we also use it for our 12 yr old dog that takes Prozac for anxiety during those extra stress times like trash day? She also gets Sileo Oromucosal Gel for thunderstorms. Thank you!
My dog is 20ish lbs. She ate an entire jar of PetNaturals of Vermont Calming Chews. is she in any real danger or will it just make her belly upset?
Is it safe to give calming supplements when my dog is already on Gabapentin? She takes 100mg Gabapentin for anxiety every 12 hours. She still gets very stressed when I leave and barks, howls, and scratches. Is it safe to combine with calming chews with ingredients like 100 mg Chamomile, 50 mg Thiamine Mononitrate, 50 mg Passion Flower, 50 mg Ginger, 30 mg L-Tryptophan, 20 mcg Melatonin? Or is there another safe calming chew you’d recommend? Pheromones have not worked. Ideally to be taken daily.
80 lb dog 16 yo had great difficulty getting up without crying. Was on carprovet 75mg 2xday . No longer worked. Started CBD full spectrum oil but having to give huge dose to control pain and be able to get out for short walks. Taking 1 month now. No adverse effects. Alert , happy, no diarrhea, gets up an E d down easier no crying. Have to give her 20mg as much as 4 or 5 x a day. Does drink more water. I realize at 16 her time is short but want her to be comfortable. Am I harming her
I got this from chewy.com and need to know how much to give my dog and how often.
My 12-month-old Labradoodle dog was very uncomfortable itching tonight. He had not been in any wooded areas, just our regular backyard. He was neutered 16 days ago, has been fine. I had given him some kibble with a spoonful of “hemp honey,” but he has had that before with no reaction. Once he calmed, I did give him an herbal calming capsule from PetFoodExpress, and he has been quiet since going back to his crate. He is an anxious, energetic puppy, but this was real discomfort. My dogs got into a bottle of NaturVet Quiet Moments Hemp tabs. There were approx. 40 tabs in the bottle; they are gone as is some of the plastic. I'm not sure which one got it or if they shared. How worried should I be?
Product recommendation pls: naturvet Omega gold plus salmon oil chews vs VetriScience derma strength every day health chews; pls see attached pics. Looking for Omega 3 supplement (chews). Nikki eats core wellness grain free ocean flavor. Being using VetriScience, her itchiness from unknown allergy hasn't improved. On the other hand, I would like to know where/how I can get cytopoint, asked my vet but they don't have it. Thanks !
