Heartgard Plus is a monthly oral pet med used as a combination heartworm preventive and intestinal wormer.
- - Protect your dog from potentially deadly heartworm disease
- - Treat and control hookworms and roundworms (which can cause disease in both pets and people)
- - Delicious beef-flavored chewable is easy to administer
- - Most dogs like the taste of Heartgard Plus and will accept the chewable like a treat. The chewable should be administered in a manner that encourages the dog to chew, rather than to swallow without chewing. Heartgard Plus Chewables may be broken into pieces and fed to dogs that normally swallow treats whole. Care should be taken that the dog consumes the complete dose, and treated animals should be observed for a few minutes after administration to ensure that part of the dose is not lost or rejected. If not entirely consumed, give another full recommended dose as soon as possible.

Heartgard Plus must be administered monthly, preferably on the same date each month. If given seasonally, the first dose must be given within 30 days of the dog's first exposure to mosquitoes. The last dose must be given within 30 days after the dog's last exposure to mosquitoes.

Hello. I had a question about heartgard. My dog is a little less than 50lbs by now because she had to lose weight due to hip dysplasia. Can I still give her the heartgard brown since the brown one is for 51-100lbs? We still have 4 months worth of the brown one. Or do I really have to buy the green one for her now?

I am spending 50 bucks a month on expensive heartworm prevention I have two dogs. I read this is safe and the dose is 0.02 cc for a 29-58 pound dog. Also treats other worms etc. Is this safe as this is what is in other overpriced meds for same purpose. I need a cheap and safe way. Hi my dog was 98 pounds at last visit, and 103 pound at recent. Vet said I needed to order the 100 additional 30 pound heart worm pills to cover the 3 pounds over. Is this really necessary? Greater cost for the additional pills really adds up. thx!
