My 8 month old GSD just ripped both carpal pads as well as the bottom pad of his back paw. Bleeding isn't too bad but he has small skin bits hanging from each. What can I do to treat this?
We have a miniature schnauzer who has a lump developing on the back side of one of his front pads on his front left paw. We take him running daily but he has not been ablessed to walk on it for the past week so we have been trying to keep it sprayed with liquid bandaid. What else might I be able to do to help it heal?
My cat, who will be 20 in March, has had scabs on her heels/elbows, they were bleeding, she kept licking them. Wearing doggie socks (ends cut off) has helped , but they are healing slowly.
Our 14 yr golden has cancer on toe. Ate a lot of it. He is still happy, eating, no issues other than arthritis. The tumor"popped"(on vacation),got infected, got treated and we now maintain with a cotton sock over it after iodine soak & bootie to go outside. Should we leave bootie off when indoors? Should we change sock daily? If left inside plastic bag over sock inside boots to avoid wet, should the bag be taken off? What will increase chance that infection returns?
My dog wore the skin off one of her pads on her paw. What can I put on it or how can I help it to heal? She keeps kicking it.
My dog cut his pad and it was bleeding but not a lot. I wiped it with benodine and wrapped it up with gauze.
My 14yo cairn terrier stepped in some borax dust (outside for ants) on Monday afternoon. I have washed thoroughly and he didnt ingest. Left paw is healed and ok. Right front paw still has a small red/raw spot and is painful for him. I have used antibacterial ointment and kept wrapped, giving 1/2 benadryl, and this weekend will use a cone. What else can i do to ease discomfort and promote healing? Thank you!!!
Pet had skin die off, back rt foot (after severe abscess in back rt hip threatened amputate) Vet removed dead, new skin growth underneath. This left atleast 50% of exposed flesh, the other has new skin growth. Antibiocs & cleaning w/chlorhexidine 2xs a day.(metacam 1x day for 2 day.)With cleaning and limited mobility still seems impossible to keep clean, constantly finding dirt/debris, misc stuck to raw skin. Is there a safe way to cover wound while also letting it breathe for healing purposes?
Hi! Is There any natural at home treatment for pododermatitis in dogs? I have an 8 years old Mini Schnauzer and his feet is sore
My Chow Chow has developed really raw paw pads. Painful for her to walk on. I have no idea what it is, and the vets said nothing but gave her an antibiotic. I've put baby socks on her with ointment, but I'm not sure if I'm helping or harming the healing process because I have no idea what this is! Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! I'm desperate!
Our dog has a strange growth which has overtaken his paw pad. It’s been biopsied - not cancerous. It’s a mystery and we can’t walk him without a boot because it gets infected! Any ideas?
I think my dog was walked on hot concrete while at boarding. His back paws pads are torn and really pink. Can I use antibiotic cream and wrap his pads in gauze?
