The Harlequin Tusk will bring a lot of attention to your aquarium. Since Harlequins generally do not bother corals, they can be added to reef aquariums. On the other hand, they will not hesitate to eat a cleanup crew, so be prepared to replace snails, crabs and even urchins more frequently. They look mean (look at the fangs) but aren't really all that aggressive. In a large tank it will be just fine as a community fish. On the flip side, this is a fish that is likely to be bullied if added to aquariums with established aggressive fish. Juveniles are generally found singly in the wild, with adults forming distinct pairs during spawning, which happens at dusk. They reach a max size of about 10 to 11 inches. Reports of this fish getting up to 24 inches in captivity are erroneous. The Harlequin Tusk is found in the Western Pacific inhabiting seaward reefs up to 35 meters deep. They are extremely colorful with alternating vertical white and orange strips with blue outlining.

ACCLIMATION: Avoid exposing new aquatic life to bright lights after opening the box. Turn off aquarium lights prior to floating aquatic life. Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. A bacteria booster addition can assist with the addition of new aquatic life. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe for the addition of new aquatic life. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried and frozen foods, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller aquariums.
If we need to contact you for any reason about your order, shipping of your package may be affected. Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email with your order summary. Orders are subject to verification of payment information by phone or email. We ship for arrival to the customer Tuesday through Friday and Saturday for an extra charge where available.

Currenly i have two African Cichlids, specifically tigar oscar cichlids. They are in a large tank, about 75 gallons, with a algae eating plako. They are about 5 to 6 inches long. Im curious to know if i could move my African sideneck turtle into the tank with them. She is young. But ive noticed tha she doesnt swim extremely well so i think it might be a bad idea. Thoughts?
Best foods for 29gallon tank with 4Rosaline Sharks, 4Congo Tetras, 1large bushy nosed plecostamus. Vitamins?
So I have been thinking about getting a new caged animal, but am not sure what to get. I am hoping for a fairly easy animal to care for (AROUND the same "hardness level" as care for a Crested gecko), and one that doesn't need tons of (tank or cage) space. Also, I saw a Cowfish on a YouTube channel, and I thought they where cute, so I tried to find its care online, but I couldn't find anything. Nor could I find someone selling one.
We just tranferred Joey from a 40 Gallon Tank to a new 90+ Gallon Terrain... He seemed to be pretty happy till today. We noticed right before we changed tanks that he had some dark coloration on his left side and tip of his tail.. He was shedding at the time so we figured it was part of it.. It has yet to go away, and today he seems VERY active, mostly attempting to climb the glass of the tank. I have attached a photo, Thank You in advance! ~Robert~
I’m getting a 20 gallln tank and I would like to know what are the best tropical freshwater fish that I could get? I would like to get a pleco, but he would get to big for my tank, so I’m wondering if I could donate him to my locomotive petco in The Dalles Oregon? Thank you I love PetCoach!!!
I have 2 salmenese tiger fish and two smaller fish in approximately 3.5 L bowl. I bought them on 1 April. 3 act normal but one act abnormal from first day. One salmenese tiger fish doesn't move much first it stayed at bottom now it's gapping at surface and if I try to catch to check it it goes down again. It's fins are turning red or I don't know if it already was. I don't understand how to help. Parents are out town so I can't go to shop. I am not sure if all are eating food.
I have just brought a new rapheal spooted catfish what care should I take as it is with discuss arrowana and blue angel pls will u share me the link how to hold it
Hello my name is Cheyenne! I have owned my Yellow Bellied slider since it was a hatchling, so a little over six years. It is 8 1/2-9 inches long. So he/she is a pretty big! So I have a couples of questions that I hope you can help answer... 1. It needs a bigger tank, it is in I think a 20-30 gl right now which is to small. I have been looking for a normal glass one but can’t find any that are in my price range and can’t seem to find any used for the size I am looking for. I have been looking in
I recently bought a pearl arrowana fish what care should I take
Hey so I currently have a spear 200 litre tank since I moved my Goldfish to a 500 litre tank. I used to breed guppies and I want to do it again, so I was thinking of filling my 200 litre tank with guppies my question is how many guppies will fit in the 200 litre tank, thx
My turtles shell has some pale spots and a soft area on the shell near the tail. As well as I noticed her scutes didnt shed properly. She is a yellow belly. 55 Gallon heated filtered tank. She outgrew her basking area which I have now fixed but this led to these changes I believe.
I have had this turtle for 3.5 years. He doesn't seem to be growing. He is in a 10 gallon tank. Is this to small and does his underneath side look healty?
