My Golden has a Chicken Allergy, so it's misleading that this "Turkey & Salmon" Recipe has Chicken Liver & Chicken Broth as prominent ingredients.

I am very picky about what I feed my Pomeranian and he is a very picky eater. Halo is considered one of the top prime dog foods due to the superior ingredients. Simba is a senior but he has the energy, coat and alert mind of a young dog. And as the can says "the proof is in the poop".

Well, can’t say I like all that much but my dogs love it; they’ve been on Halo, wet and dry, and have thrived for 10 years.

The only way to find out if this pad works is to test your phosphate levels before and after installing it. Your problem could be a lack of adequate beneficial bacteria and filtration. My 2,500 gallon koi pond had 2.0 ppm phosphates before, 1.0ppm after (in 1 hour...amazing). It had been a hot summer &, although ammonia, nitrites & nitrates tested fine, algae was growing because there were phosphates. The previous pad lasted about 2 months before weekly water tests detected raising phosphates. Trouble with phosphates and algae growth is they reduce the dissolved oxygen and fish suffer so you need to act fast. I think one of the reasons my pond is so stable is because, in addition to phosphate remover, this pad has ammonia remover & carbon. These pads are expensive but not as expensive as granular filter media that is a pain to handle and requires more to treat my size pond. Get a water test kit too!

My 10 year old Maine Coon cat was doing a lot of licking and loosing a lot of hair as well as producing hairballs for me to dispose of. I first made sure that her flea med was up to date. One of my dogs was having hard stools. The vet recommended trying Halo Salmon Spot's Stew. He explained that because Salmon is an oiler fish. It might help with loosening up the stool. It worked. Now, along with the original Spot's stew, Lamb, Duck and all the flavors. I now include the Salmon recipe into their diet once a week.
