Using the chart on the package, divide the total cups per day by the total number of times you feed your cat per day to determine the portion size for each meal. Keep a clean bowl of fresh water available at all times. Every cat is a little different, so optimal feeding amounts may vary with age, size and activity level. Please use the information on the feeding chart as an initial recommendation only and adjust when needed. Dry and wet food in combination will help to increase the level of water in your cat's diet. If feeding with wet food, reduce dry amount by 1/2 cup for every 6 oz. of wet food. Transitioning: Gradually mix in Halo Elevate over a 5-7 day period, increasing the amount each day.

My cats really favor this Halo food.Sometimes they wait in line to eat at one of the bowls that has the Healthy Weight Chicken in it. At other times all 3 of them have their faces in the same bowl! They like this food a lot. I'm glad that they do because It's so good for them.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought this on clearance at a great price! Unfortunately, the outdoor feral cats won’t eat it and that’s a really bad sign. Must not be very palatable because they will eat anything.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Our cats love this!

Our cats love this Halo food! They've been eating it for several years now and seem to be as enthusiastic as ever about meal time. Our vet thinks this is a good choice as well due to its ingredients. Since eating Halo food, they rarely have digestive issues, have become very regular and their coats are very shiny. Also, I don't know if this is coincidental or not, but at 9 years old, they often seem to have as much energy as young kittens.

Yes, I recommend this product.

HALO saved my little kitty

My sweet cat stopped eating and was losing weight (only weighs 6.5 pounds as he is a little Persian Chinchilla and that is his adult weight). He had no room to lose weight as he is already a little guy. So, I talked with the team members at Petco who suggested Halo. He LOVED HALO and we never looked back! He has been in Halo now for several years and it was a blessing that they suggested it. It is a little bit more expensive but worth it. It saved my little baby.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Can anyone confirm if Halo has changed the dry cat food recipe recently - specifically for the Grain-free chicken recipe? We noticed it smells different, color is darker and our cats won't eat it anymore after 4 yrs of only eating this brand. Please help!

  1. I cannot confirm a recipe change, but I did encounter a similar bag of food like you did. My cats ate it, but at a slower rate than normal. The bag I just opened a couple days ago seems to be back to normal. My cats are much happier & eating it quicker again. Hoping this was just a fluke in one batch....

What is the CFU/lb of Bacillus coagulans for this cat food?

  1. Thank you for the question, the CFU/lb is 599,999,400

Are all ingredients of this cat food made in the U.S.A? Are any ingredients of this cat food from China?  Are there any grains in this food?

  1. The recipes that mention grain free in the title will not contain grains. Halo selects every ingredient based on its premium quality and nutritive value. 1. I'm no veterinarian but I've read many times that since dogs do not need as much protein as cats you should NOT feed a dog cat food.
