Using the chart on the package, divide the total cups per day by the total number of times you feed your dog per day to determine the portion size for each meal. Keep a clean bowl of fresh water available at all times. Every dog is a little different, so optimal feeding amounts may vary with age, size and activity level. Please use the information on the feeding chart as an initial recommendation only and adjust when needed. Dry and wet food in combination will help to increase the level of water in your dog's diet. If feeding with wet food, reduce dry amount by 1/2 cup for every 6 oz. of wet food. Transitioning: Gradually mix in Halo Elevate over a 5-7 day period, increasing the amount each day.

Soon as we switched to this food one dog developed diarrhea and the second one had a major allergic reaction even though none of the disclosed ingredients are triggers. Communication with the company is a complete fiasco, every time you call they are all in a company meeting…no matter what day of the week. Email communication is a joke as every time they respond they have a different answer. They finally issued a refund as a gift card for an amount less than supported by the receipts I sent in. I am tired of arguing with them. Their guarantee on their food bags means absolutely nothing. I really expected great things from a premium dog food brand, but the quality and the customer service was non existent

I bought this for my dog with multiple needs in his food. He has both genetic variants for DCM1, which is different than nutritional DCM, but finding a heart healthy diet is important to me. This has added taurine (higher than most brands), healthy grains, and has no peas, potatoes, or legumes which were suspect ingredients in the study done on DCM. He also has extremely sensitive skin and it prone to itchiness and hotspots. The food is poultry free as well. I also like the added glucosamine and chondroitin and probiotics in high amounts to help with hip and joint health and digestive regulation. He is also very picky, but the freeze dried raw coating leaves him licking the bowl. And with it being such a protein to fat ratio and high calorie content, I don't have to feed him such a large amount of food to give him the nutrients he needs, which is great because having to feed him so much of his previous food made him not finish it all. As a working service dog, getting the nutrients he needs is vital. His stool has been well formed and regular, his coat is absolutely gorgeous and silky soft, and he has no hot spots. Highly recommend this food!
