I want to get this canned food for my dog as a topper to her dry food. It has shredded chicken along with whole white beans, peas and potatoes. Will she be able to digest this ok because the beans, peas and potatoes are not ground into a pate texture? she's on the dry version of this currently. I also ditched the twelve calorie treats and purchased the smaller 2 calorie treats and I'm only giving her three of those per day. Her total intake of extras is now less than 10% of her diet. :-)
Is this human food product acceptable to mix with my dog's dry food in small amounts?
My 7 lb poodle mix eats Nature's Instinct raw frozen, or cans (beef). We switch it up, as she gets bored. She gets a teenie Greenie daily, tiny milkbones (natural trail mix), and as a big treat, Merrick's lung treats. Every few months we go through a bout of diarrhea that lasts 3 days, and she then gets Royal Canin low fat gastro can, or ID gastro (as Royal Canin is not shipping right now). Could this be the Greenies? Vet thinks maybe. Metronidzole 50mg does the trick. Your thoughts?
Dear Experts, We are from The Hockaday School and are working to make an original dog food with only natural ingredients. We were wondering if our idea is successful and original. We would appreciate it if you looked at our recipe and could help us alter or work on it. Recipe: • Pork = 40 grams • Chicken = 40 grams • Salmon = 40 grams • Peanuts = 10 grams • Sunflower seeds = 10 grams • Basil = 10 grams • Rosemary = 10 grams • Oregano = 10 grams • Sweet potatoes = 20 grams • Carrots = 20 grams
Is Hills i/d digestive care chicken stew a good food for dogs? I noticed it has some sugar in it - is this ok? I want to use this as a topper on my dogs regular kibble because she has a sensitive system and she loves the taste. She's on Natural balance lid small breed bites currently and doing great.
My dog is not the biggest fan of dry food, so i try to mix it with food topper, but he ends up only eating the food topper and later he’ll eat the dry food. The one I buy is from pedigree, and the recommended amount is 300g of this + 75g of dry food but isn’t it better to feed him wet food (that usually already comes in 300g) and the 75g of dry food? Are these food toppers a substitute to regular wet food?
Is bakers complete chicken casserole good for him it says it has real prices of chicken in it, it also has bits of carrots and green beans in it he's a very fussy eater and I've finally found food he actually likes but aren't carrots and green beans for humans? Are they good for dogs
My pup currently eats the costco kirkland adult dog chicken, vegetable, and rice (pinkish bag on their site). However, time to time she eats grass outside or doesn't eat her food. I sometimes I add nutritional yeast and/or wheat grass powder to her food for nutrients. Is this good for her? Should I switch to one of the other pictures attached? If so, which one? Thank you!
Dogs on canned food with dry food. Want them on dry food only. Very picky dogs. Thinking for their transition blending freeze dried bully mini cubes to make a yummy powder on top. A youtuber names Simpatico recommended for finicky dogs (liver treats) but how and when can I fade that out? Thinking just a table spoon or so the most on the food
My 14 year old American Pit Mix has a food allergy and we did an elimination diet. I am concerned that she may not be getting enough nutritional value while trying to figure out what she cannot handle. I make her food in a rice cooker. Daily meal split to feed her twice a day: 2 cups of dry rice Makes about 7 to 9 cups cooked 1/4 cup blueberries 2 oz white fish Added after cooked: 1/2 cup of frozen peas and carrots 1 TBS of peanut butter powder 5 pumps of Salmon Oil
10 year old chow spaniel mix. Very healthy only poops every other day. any veggies-foods to add to meals to help
We have stopped using canned dog food and now make a fresh mixture of peas, beans, carrots and sweet potatoes mixed with ground turkey, beef OR chicken. We would like to stop feeding them dry food all together. Can we do this and if so should we give them a doggie vitamin? we have a 3yr GS, 8yr GSP and 10 yr lab mix. thank you
