I also like the way each piece is formed to make it easy to put a pill within the treat. I decided to try the treats without putting a pill inside first. I wanted to see if she would eat it by itself. She seemed to like the scent, but once she tasted it, she refused the treat. The idea is great, but for my dog, it is ineffective. She would not have anything to do with them after that.

My pooch does not even know nor care that he is getting his meds. He just gobbles up the pill pockets like they were just a treat, and they are a treat to him for sure, and there are godsend to me because he usually would sniff them out and push them to the side and now he just takes them. He loves both the chicken flavor and the peanut butter flavor to be honest. So easy to pop the pill in and seal it up. It’s a win win all around. Thank you Greenies!

My dog used to be so difficult when it came to taking pills — I tried cheese, peanut butter, even hiding them in meat, but he always managed to spit them out. This not only led to anxiety and frustration on both my part and his but also concerns for me that he wasn’t getting a full dose of his meds after the pill had been mixed in food, spat out, mixed again and the cycle repeated until the pill was disintegrating. Greenies Pill Pockets changed the game. The Chicken flavor is his absolute favorite — my Maltese gets excited like it’s a treat! And the Peanut Butter version is a close second. I love that they’re soft and easy to mold around pills, even larger capsules. No more stress for either of us! Bonus points for being made with natural ingredients and recommended by vets. It gives me confidence that I’m giving him something that’s not only effective but safe, too. If your pet hates taking medication, these are a must-have. Easy, mess-free, and they turn what used to be a battle into a pleasant experience for both me and my pup. I can’t tell you what a relief it is to know now that when I need to give him pills/tablets, not only will it not be a battle but I can also rest assured that he’s getting all of his medication. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They are very soft (like raw cookie dough), so it was easy to insert the pill and close the pill pocket. Bag seals shut after opening it, so pill pockets will stay fresh. Most dogs would probably eat the whole thing in one bite. Smaller dogs will probably eat it in a couple bites so might discover the pill but since the pocket is squished around the pill like raw cookie dough it should be harder for them to find the pill and spit it out.

They are perfect for molding around pills that your pup would never voluntarily eat. I break off a piece of each one and mold it around the pill so my dog isn’t chewing and finding the pill hidden inside. It’s been such a game changer for meds. The resealable bags are perfect and keep everything fresh. Highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our boy takes quite a few medications and using these Greenie Pill Pockets allow us to make him think they are a treat. They have a gentle scent to them which smells like peanut butter and chicken. They are very effective in getting him to take his medications with ease as well. I wish they came in a larger size as we are shoving about 4.5 pills into one and because they are soft and malleable it makes it easy to shape into a ball to cover them all. I do wish they came a little lower in protein and phosphorus as our boy has early stage kidney disease, but our vet was fine with using them. Truly a great item.
