Easy to set up, appears to be functioning appropriately. Has been in my tank 4 days with absolutely no change in green water.

I was to the point I thought I was going to have to get rid of my tank. With turtles I couldn’t find very many options to get rid of the algae bloom. Water changes weren’t working. It just kept getting worse and worse and worse. It was very depressing to look at in a last ditch effort. I took one more search online and was so lucky to come across the green killing machine I thought the price was a little high, but was willing to take the risk if it really would get rid of the algae bloom. I’m so glad I did. The price is completely fair after seeing how the product performs within less than a week my tank went from murky green and depressing to crystal clear and beautiful. I highly recommend this product to anyone that is having difficulty with algae bloom in their tank.

Yes, I recommend this product.

WOW! Within 24 hours my tank is clear! I have a 54 gallon bow tank, so opted for the larger power head. I have had green algae for over a month and tried everything, this was easy to install and worked incredibly well!

No, I do not recommend this product.

This GKM is amazing 👏🏽 my tanks never looked better I have one on each tank before the GKM was so hard to keep my tanks clear because of my turtles 🐢 one on each tank. After I got the GKM my tanks stay sparkling.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Had an awful bloom after a hermit killed 2 turbos in my display. It was getting worse everyday, by day 5, the worsed morning yet, couldn't see a thing nearly, I ran out, bought this set it up in about 10 minutes. Bloom was gone in less than 24 hours. I know it shouldn't have been that quick, but it was. This was on a 90gallon total volume system. It's very long and would only fit vertically in my display, my 29 gal sump didn't have anywhere to fit it, and I avoided getting an option I would have to plumb as I don't want to hurt my copepods and will only run short term. I ran it for 3 more days and turned it off, only turn on now when i do something silly like stir up my sandbed a lot and cause a storm. Eveb though its fairly tall, its not a total eyesore in the front corner of my display. Powercord design is a little silly, the AC end of it is long, but the DC end is short, and with the size of the brick you can't stick it anywher3, forcing me to put it in the one spot. The controler(?) Suction cups are great and makes for easy mounting on glass in a position that allows everything to be drip looped. I don't know if I would necessarily recommend it as a 24/7 solution because I have not run it this way, but it probably will work that way for most. However, as an as needed solution, I think this is a hell of a lot of bang for the buck.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Will this work to help clear up a Saltwater marine parasite outbreak, like Ich, Velvet, Flukes, etc.?

Anyone have an issue with it heating up your tank? I installed one yesterday and my temp increased 3 degrees in less than 2 hours. I unplugged it and am considering returning it. Temps returning to normal.

    1. Hi, what the size of aquarium? The GKM have some heat when the UV bulb turned on but this little heat can not change 3 degree. For after sales service you can contact AA Aquarium email info@aa-aquarium.com, or toll free 877-720-2227

Can this be used in a turtle tank?

    1. According to how big the turtle tank is it takes up some room on my 100 gallon fish tank I see no real reason why you wouldn’t be able to it works pretty well for me but might require some more cleaning with the spong on it because turtles can put out a lot more waste than the fish will

Does have a window or something so I can see the light is still working? How do I know the bulb went out?

    1. There is a light on the power transformer which is for the light. If it is green, the light is suppose to be ok. But the light will degrade over time (about 6 months). The green light will still be green, but the light will not be cleaning well any longer. You than have to replace the bulb.

Hi Will the green machine get rid of mold?

Will this affect my plecos food source or just the water algea?

      1. Affects free floating algae ‘algae blooms’, don’t bother with the big name brands and just order a cheap one you’d be lucky if this lasted longer than 3 months.

Can I use this in a salt water tank?

      1. Yes, you can!

What can I do to get a faulty bulb replaced

      1. I had a faulty control box and contacted the manufacturer. They were very helpful and replaced it for me.

How long is the power cord?

      1. It’s bout normal length cord, as any filter cord or thermometer cord, I use an long surge protector to connect my many filters and stuff at once on my 70 gallon fish tank.

I have a 55 gallon tank what uv system should I use

      1. The Green machine would work well for this. Eithet wattage really too, I would run the smaller one myself if leaving it as more of a permanent running add on or the larger one if running it off and on as needed.
