It frankly isn’t the best design (can only slide the looping piece through at 1 angle because 2 sides are too long) but was servible until the prongs slipped apart while the collar was slack. The quick release mechanism is not solid steel like the links. I think it’s a cheap foundry pour. My dog is a 100lb lab and he quickly broke the release mechanism by tugging. I thought it was just an anomaly and I made the mistake of buying another. On a walk we passed a dog that lunged at my dog. He lunged back and broke the same piece again. The collar is great, the quick release mechanism is an inferior product. Don’t buy it if you have a big dog.

Garbage!! I've had multiple prong collars but had left ours at home so grabbed this. The quick release would often just come undone. Tried to return but they wouldn't without the package. I threw it away walking out of the store 🤦‍♀️

I bought this collar to see its effectiveness. It sure works. My large dog has lessened his pulling/tugging while on a leash.

This was wonderful for my 100 lb American Bulldog UNTIL an unleashed dog charged at us and started biting. He usually ignores other dogs but his defensive side kicked in when he saw my son getting bit. My boy pulled one good time and completely straightened the metal on quick release clip, leading to a horrifying situation. He got bit several times before he could pin the aggressor down. Thankfully, he only held that dog down and didn't rip his throat out. If you have this prong collar already- PLEASE use a clip and attach it to another collar as your backup! If you are considering it and have a strong, powerful dog, keep searching, this isn't safe for you or your dog. PETCO- I'm not the only one. Read these reviews and pull this from the shelves before more dogs are hurt or killed!
