You recently changed this item. They used to be longer and said Beef Strap on the package. Now they are half the size and say water buffalo. Can you please share if the ingredients use to be and what they are now? This is for a diabetic dog.

In response to Hh is my nickname, the strips were much longer, double the length. Now they are half the length and the same price and say buffalo instead of beef. The image of this item also changed. It used to show both the one it shows now and also the longer one and even included the dimensions. I have been ordering this product for the last few months as they stopped stocking it at my local petco and it has always been long. Guess they discontinued it and replaced it with this one which apparently has been available as well.

My dog got this treat out of the bag before we got home and started eating it including some of the plastic wrap. Is the wrap in fact plastic or something else?

It's definitely plastic with a paper label and adhesive backing. It's heat-wrapped to conform to the shape of the straps.
