The Golden Ghost Knifefish is a remarkable and unusual species that will bring a lot of attention to its aquarium. They look very similar to the more common Black Ghost Knifefish except for the Goldens have much lighter color. They produce a weak electrical charge at their caudal peduncle, which allows them to locate food. This fish can grow to be about 14 inches in length if properly cared for. Provide an environment with plenty of hiding places where the Golden Ghost Knifefish can go when feeling shy. They prefer more dimly lit aquariums and will spend more time hiding if the aquarium if too brightly lit. They are fairly timid but can bully smaller fish, which is why it is recommended to house with similar sized tank mates. They are a social species and prefer to be housed in groups. Provide a varied diet of freshwater frozen foods and small pellet or flake foods.

ACCLIMATION: Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. For new aquariums, adding new fish slowly helps to properly develop the nitrogen cycle, which creates a safe environment for your aquatic pets. A bacteria booster may also help develop a new aquarium for your new fish. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried, and frozen food, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller, unfiltered aquariums.

One of ky fish's whole eyeballs just disappeared.so he have no eyes and going crazy over the tank.what could have done this?and does the eyes regenerate
Two of our freshwater fish are acting oddly in the water. We did lose a few last night, due to an ammonia spike. We noticed some pale-colored, wormlike flesh dropping from the front area (between the mouth and front fins); this black Guppy is “wobbling” around... We also have an orange Molly fish that has been staying on the bottom, not eating or moving much. Attached are pics, for your review. Can you please provide advice for these issues, we want to try our best to save them!
I have an angelfish and a red tail shark in a 15 gallon tank for about 4 days and they get along great. The angel fish has been almost swimming kind of lazy like almost floating and then will swim when off balance. And belly kinda looks swollen as well as eyes. And my red tail shark seems to have a gray patch on it's side and not swimming as active as he was. Either hides in the back of tank or in a house for hours.
patternless leopard gecko body compulsion waves contracting and growling
Hi my goldfish is going white and got cloudy eyes and the mouth is always open ?? THE OTHER GOLDFISH is ok and water is testing all ok
is my mosquito minnow pregnant?
We just tranferred Joey from a 40 Gallon Tank to a new 90+ Gallon Terrain... He seemed to be pretty happy till today. We noticed right before we changed tanks that he had some dark coloration on his left side and tip of his tail.. He was shedding at the time so we figured it was part of it.. It has yet to go away, and today he seems VERY active, mostly attempting to climb the glass of the tank. I have attached a photo, Thank You in advance! ~Robert~
what kind of fish are these? and would they be good with a male betta
Black molly with a white spot near the anal fin. Is she pregnant
"My Leopradgeckos eye just one of them is like a ghosty blue and the other is perfectly normal. I don't know what to do, like if its a build-up of his shed or something else."
Hi, I had a bettas fish and a clown pleco. A day after doing a complete cleaning of the tank, my better fish died and my pleco started acting weird. I tested the water. Ph 7, ammonia 0, nitrate 0, nitrite 0. He is not eating, his skin started to look like white, like shedding? And now is like coming off. Also, his belly is bloated. I attached pictures.
My goldfishh is becoming white and is being lazy and staying in the middle of the tank
