When using Glandex for the first time, we recommend starting at half (1/2) the recommended labeled dosage for the first 5-7 days, and then gradually increasing to the full recommended dosage after that. By doing so this allows your pet to adjust to the additional fiber content in Glandex. Please also be sure to provide plenty of fresh drinking water. It is important to give Glandex on a consistent daily basis, and allow a minimum of 3-5 weeks to see results.
Not for human consumption. Keep out of the reach of children and animals. In case of accidental overdose, contact a health professional immediately.

Bell, 7 1/2 yr old female, anal glands fill about every 4 weeks (or oftener). Feed is Purina One Healthy Weight, with one Well & Good Multi Vitamin and one Well & Good Allergy Aid pill daily. I also feed cooked pumpkin and cooked oatmeal. Is there any other fiber or food that would help her anal glands as she scoots a lot and apparently is uncomfortable. I understand removal of the anal glands is not recommended.
Parents are visiting with their dog who has anal gland problems. Glandex in food daily. Dog was stinky and scooting. Took him to my vet. Vet did anal gland expression. They recommended additional very expensive procedure under anesthesia. Basic anal gland expression helped for a few days. Now he's smelly. Do they need to do expensive flush version now? Would antibiotics or anything help for now while they're on vacation? Should I try a different vet?
Product recommendation pls: naturvet Omega gold plus salmon oil chews vs VetriScience derma strength every day health chews; pls see attached pics. Looking for Omega 3 supplement (chews). Nikki eats core wellness grain free ocean flavor. Being using VetriScience, her itchiness from unknown allergy hasn't improved. On the other hand, I would like to know where/how I can get cytopoint, asked my vet but they don't have it. Thanks !
I have been expressing my dogs anal glands weekly. I have noticed the her anus has turned darker, blackened and the skin around it looks tougher. She has scooter on the carpet a couple times. I am worried her anal glands have atrophied bc they arenโt expressing anything anymore. Also, her glands feel bulgier/bigger than normal. She is a 10 lbs Pomchi. Any supplements you recommend? What about those Glandex chews peanut butter flavored? Are they dangerous? Do you think she is impacted? Go to vet?
Is it a good idea to give my dog a pumpkin digestive supplement by fruitables? She has to have her anal glands expressed regularly so I thought this might help. It says to replace 10% of her food with the pumpkin supplement. She is eating 3/4 of a cup total per day. How much of the pumpkin supplement would I give daily?
I brought my cat (4 YO black American short hair) to the vet a few months ago after she was scooting frequently and her glands were released. Our vet said she needed to be changed to a high fiber diet which we did immediately (Image attached below). This was in fact one of the ones the vet told us to buy. However, she now wants wet food and I have no clue what to give her. I read up on Merrick and am unsure which specifically to buy. Help! Please and thank you!
Is supplementing with a joint pill, fish oil, and Glandex For anal gland issues, a sensible supplement protocol? The brands are Nutramax, Nordic naturals and Glandex. And do healthy dogs need probiotics and enzymes on a regular basis? Please explain. Thank you.
I have a 6lb chihuahua (7yrs) and 10lb chi-cross (5). They're both in good health, but over the past year they've been scooting more. Last time they saw the vet, they had their glands expressed, but now it seems to have caused a recurring problem (scooting, fishy smell). I've done them twice at home since February. They free-feed on Acana lamb, and I'm trying to figure out: A) Would more fibre help them B) The best type of fibre to add for their feeding habits, and C) How much fibre they need.
When using Glandex powder formula, is it okay to add the daily amount into a homemade treat? If so, is it okay to be baked and is there any ingredients that shouldnโt be used in combination with the powder?
Panda had moderately full anal glands he was expressed by vet a month ago he is now scared of going to see vet because he has been expressed twice my vet suggested we trial glandex and if this does not work express him monthly or surgical removal of the glands both are invasive which will mean trauma to him he also scratches a lot when he needs doing how quickly will the glandex work and are there any other options that I can do he is on grain free kangaroo diet and has food allergies
Can i give metamucil to help with anal gland problems?
My elderly dogs anal glands leak 2 - 3 times or more a week, usually when heโs asleep, what can I do to help him. I already give him Glandex but that doesnโt seem to be helping. Also my dog has lost a lot of weight and Iโm trying so hard to help him put weight on. You can see his ribs and hip joints bless him, my vet just said to feed him more, I feed him 4 to 5 times a day, and he still isnโt putting weight on, this has been going on for weeks, heโs also on prednisolone, and antibiotics.
