Directions: Open the lid. Wet the granules with 2 1/2 cups of lukewarm water evenly. Water only once. Put the container in a warm, light place, avoiding direct sunlight. After three days the grass will begin to germinate. Within eight days the clipping opens up and the grass can grow to its full height. When the grass has reached a height of two to four inches you can serve it to your cat.

I followed directions to get it going. I placed it on top of a corner pantry shelf so it got lots of daylight. I forgot it for about a week. I look up this morning and saw a beautiful green bush. One of my cats has always loved outdoor grass. She was rescued as a stray at 5 months but we keep her indoors. I used to grab handfuls of grass from the yard for her. Kiki loves this stuff. I've caught her at it 4 times today. Thank you for a wonderful healthy plant.

Do not buy this. Oh man. I followed the instructions to a t and it just never grew. It finally started getting goopy looking and I was worried it was getting moldy or something after it hadn’t been growing for a few days.
Oooooh my god. The smell when I dumped it out was the worst smell I have ever smelled. I was gagging the whole time I was trying to get the bag out to throw it out. I don’t know if I got a bad batch or something but I’ve grown cat grass many times and I’ve never had one so this. Oh man. It was so bad. My eyes watered.

Doesn't grow grass

I ordered this on May 25th, it is now June 6th and it has not produced any grass at all for my cats. Most say by 5-8 days they see some grass, but I got nothing, must have been a bad batch. I won't recommend this product since it didn't work for me. Other products I have purchased have worked great but not this one.

I bought this about a month or more ago. I really didn't think it was going to work. One day I followed the instructions. I had it at a window for a few days and nothing. I put it near a floor standing lamp with a shade that was up not down. It is starting to grow so fast. I think I will be pleased with it.

Great price cat loved it. As with most grasses it goes bad quickly, so I scoop a little out and grow it and repeat as the cat needs it. Cat's happy I'm happy it's a win for both of us.

- I've been buying this grass for years and 9/10 there are no problems growing it, but there are occasional duds (I assume seeds that have gone bad). I'd return it to the store and exchange it.

Does the grass regrow after the cat eats it?
- The grass has a limited life. It stays supple and green for about a week, then starts to dry up. Seeds germinate in intervals though and it's usually edible for at least 2 weeks.

I read online that bearded dragons can eat this, is this wheat grass?
- The ingredients from the Cat'About Cat Grass Plus container are: Wheat seed, Vermiculite and Plantagel (potassium, propenoate and propenamide copolymers). Plantagel is a non-toxic water absorption agent.

- It is plain grass. It should be safe for tortoises.

Is it unusual for the grass to get moldy? Before it started to sprout, the granules started to get moldy, and now the grass is growing through the mold.
- It is not mold. They are very small root fingers. Normal. You will see them go away once the roots take hold.

Howcome my grass is coming up brown not green?
- If you mean when the it first sprouts, the seedlings do appear brownish, but it should become green as it grows and thickens. If it becomes brown soon after maturing, it didn't get enough water initially. If it's not too far gone you can refresh it by adding a very small amount of water. The growing medium formula must have changed recently. I have noticed that the grass does not stay green and vigorous as long as it used to.

- I am not sure if it’s o.k. for dogs; but I think they only eat grass when they have upset stomachs to make themselves throw up...
