I just bought my dog a new food bowl. this is one is elevated since she is getting taller and it’s the perfect height for her . But she’s gone over to the bowl a few times since it’s her feeding time and she keeps prancing and whimpering really loud at the bowl.

I bought a slow feeder from the pet store to slow down my cat's eating but she is barely eating and she will walk away from the dish. Heidi and Ginger love the low salt chicken broth over their Diamond Naturals dog food. It doesn't take much to soften their food. I understand Chihuahuas need to have food down more often than large dogs. Will twice a day for both dogs not to exceed the number of suggested calories for Ginger be sufficient? I have a 6lb chihuahua (7yrs) and 10lb chi-cross (5). They're both in good health, but over the past year they've been scooting more. Last time they saw the vet, they had their glands expressed, but now it seems to have caused a recurring problem (scooting, fishy smell). I've done them twice at home since February. They free-feed on Acana lamb, and I'm trying to figure out: A) Would more fibre help them B) The best type of fibre to add for their feeding habits, and C) How much fibre they need.

I feed them in separate bowls on each side of the fireplace. They are grazers eat some leave etc. I put morning portion in their bowl and then later if empty evenings.
