Raised dog feeding stands, good or bad for large breed dogs?
I just bought my dog a new food bowl. this is one is elevated since she is getting taller and it’s the perfect height for her . But she’s gone over to the bowl a few times since it’s her feeding time and she keeps prancing and whimpering really loud at the bowl.
What is the best dog bowl material that is non toxic, going to stay clean, not get a film at the bottom and not harbor bacteria?
What is the best feeding mechanism to put the dog's meal for 15-30 min then take it or leave it all the day for the dog to eat as she want?
So my puppy River loves to stand in her water bowl when she drinks and also loves to purposely dump it over. We have a very large water bowl because we have four dogs so when she knocks it over it basically floods my kitchen. What can I do or use to keep her from standing in or knocking her water bowl over?
I have a 9 week old gsd puppy and we're concerned we're not feeding him enough. I'm going by the recommendation of the bag of food we're feeding him(Science diet large breed puppy food). I believe they recommend 1 7/8 cup per day. I split it up into 2 meals, morning and evening. He absolutely scarfs it down & seems to be hungry for more. My 3 year old neutered great Dane doesn't know when to stop eating or drinking. He got into a bag of food a while ago and he was so fat he looked pregnant. We took him to get treated to reduce chance of bloat. With the hot weather I wanted to put a water dispensing bowl for him and my labrador. I'm concerned that he'd drink all the water. Is there something I can do to teach him not to do that. He's been this way since a puppy. He eats and drinks away from the others.
My girlfriends dog savannah has a dog bowl that refills itself when empty because she eats whenever she gets hungry ( min pin, small dog 7 years old) however my 4 month old balto keeps eating hers instead of his puppy food when my girlfriend and I are sleeping. I noticed this as he has gained weight in his stomach and her food is empty though i filled it 2 days ago. What can I do in this situation ? Min pin is use to it being out but I do not want balto a pomsky to be overweight or health issues
I adopted a very overweight dog. I am working on weight management and she has lost some weight but I'm concerned as she gobbles her food down literally in a minute. I just bought the puzzle bowl but she can only reach one morsel at a time using her tongue as she is a big dog. This doesn't seem right either but I don't know. It definitely slowed her eating.
