A vet that specializes in neurology provided me with Gabapentin 50 mg tabs to give my cat twice a day. There are no numbers on them, just white round scored tablets. Evertthing I google says lowest dose is 100 mg. Concerned I may have been given the wrong medication.
My 12 year old 72 lb dog takes galliprant and MSM for osteoarthritis. Galliprant costs $100.00/month. Now my vet sold me GABAPENTIN so she takes GabaP, galliprant and MSM each day. gabapentin is only $10/per month. Why is there a $90 dollar price difference between the two meds if they both target osteoarthritis pain? How does gabapentin work differently from galliprant to relieve pain or do I really need galliprant since she started gabapentin and is more entergetic than on galliprant alone?
My dog has been prescribed 300mg Gabapentin. I left the bottle at my dog-sitters house. I also take 100 mg Gabapentin. I have read that I can give my dog Gabapentin human Gabapentin as long as it does not have xylitol in it. How can I be sure it doesn’t? They are capsules, not liquid.
Dog got ahold of 300mg gabapentin. She is 45lb 1 year old
How long can a dog be on the prescription gabapentin
If the dose of Gabapentin is so small, why is it only available in 100mg capsules? That means I have to break open the capsule and divide it into thirds for my cat!
How do I go about getting meds from a vet as advertised on on website? NO associate in the store ever heard of vet services. I would like to keep my dog. He is currently on gabapentin. You advertise it as $11.99 the exact same mg and count, I had to pay $30.. where and how do I order on line
My dog was prescribed 600mg/day of Gabapentin as an adjunct to Meloxicam for arthritic knee pain. I read that 1.4 mg per pound of weight is the standard dose for dogs for pain. 600 mg seems excessive. What in your opinion is the standard dose for a 90-lb. male lab mix who’s 13 years old (a senior dog)? Thanks.
Can I give my 15# Shih Tzu dog 100mg gabapentin for his arthritis?
My Corgi is 27lb and his vet prescribed him 200mg of Gabapentin every 8 to 12 hours. I read some websites, and this dosage seems much higher than what's recommended. What do you think?
15 yr old Jack Russell takes 100mg gabapentin 2x every day. Took 3x today by accident. She is 28 pounds. Will she be okay?
My cat (~4 kg, 12.5 yrs old) I think, ingested a 300 mg cap of gabapentin about 18 hrs ago. It took us a while to find his hiding place, because he didn't come when we called him. When we found him, his pupils were so dilated that there was only was only a thin ring of orange; they are almost back to normal in the past 2 hrs. He still won't drink even h2o on his lips, is lethargic & is staggering. He has tried to groom a tad, & he did pee a normal amt & color on a paper pad. No vomit or diarh.
