My dog, Labrador 40 kg, has osteosarcoma. He had been on Tramadol and Rimadyl for pain control but yesterday the vet recommended to add Gabapentin 900 mg once a day. Cautionsly, I gave him just 600 mg and he is completely lethargic. I'm afraid this dosage was too much. Can I reduce the dosage to 300mg for 1 day and then 100mg once a day (a more conservative dosage that may be increased according to respond).
CARESHARE Is 1 ml enough for my 5 yr old 10 lb cat for pain relief? He was involved in a cat fight and sustained superficial Injuries but I can tell he is hurting a little. Sorry, I thought I put the name of the medication. It's Gabapentin. It was given to me by my vet to decrease my cat's anxiety when taking him to checkups.
My dog is on gabapentin 1 ml 2x a day. Can i also give him benedryl?
My vet prescribed my cat gabapentin for sedation, she prescribed a 4.5kg cat 100 mg of gabapentin. 13 hrs later she is closed and the cat is still wobbly and lethargic. What should I do
My 11 month old clumber spaniel, MAY have just eaten 600mgs of Gabapentin (my prescription) do I need to do anything. She is in excellent health is on no medications and weighs 25.2Kg
My dog was given Gabapentin for his knee problem and now is losing weight. What should I do?
I gave my 7# cat 100 mg gabapentin instead of 50 mg recommended for a small geriatric cat. She is completely out of it. Her heart beat and breathing are steady, but she is completely out of it. Is there anything to counteract it, or can we just wait it out and see a vet tomorrow?
hello, my dog has epilepsy and takes 500mg Kappra 3 times daily. he was accidentally given a double dose, what should i do? do i still give him his next dose later and just keep an eye on him? he's 55 pounds.
Adding a small amount of salmon oil to Gabapentin and putting mixture in cat dry food okay?
Yesterday my dog hurt her hind left paw somehow she favors it and it's somewhat swollen she doesn't limp but you can tell it's hurting her no cuts of anything that is noticeable seems to be on the paw pad and under her toe can I give her gabapentin and if so how much
Hello, My cat was prescribed 30 x Metronidazole 50 mg/ml (compounded liquid) and also Gabapentin to use as needed. The Metronidazole is for stomach upset that has caused her to eliminate on my bed. She gets very upset by the meds - have to wrap her in a towel etc. Now she is scared of me and pulls away when I go to just pet her. I am afraid if I keep administering the meds she will never be the same with me again. But she needs them and I’ve tried hiding it in food of all kinds.
Betty is recovering from oral surgery & has been eating & doing well overall the past week. The vet tech insisted she should have liquid gabapentin (.25 ml x2). I begrudgingly followed the advice even though after surgery, the gaba pill made her stoned. They assured me this dose in liquid form wouldn't do that to her. I gave 1 dose to her yesterday around 3pm CST. Up until then she was relatively playful and eating well. She is out of it still. How long does it take to get out of her system?
