What shape is the pill? I have to split it for my dog and it can be a hassle depending on shape
- I have gotten several from petco, always small round white tablets . I use a pull cutter and mostly does well. Sometimes they crumble a bit, I figure my boy may not get 100% dose one day but im ok with that. Most of the time it splits pretty well!

Why can't I buy a years' worth at one time? Could I save that way?
- I believe because it’s a prescription and you have to take your pet to the vet every 6 months for blood work before they’ll renew it.

My do was prescribed Lasix and I was if I could desolve it in a little water to give her it is a 1/2 of a tablet.
Dog has started furosemide tablets for fluid build up, has not been eating properly since which is very out of character for him (eating a 1/4 of his usual food amount which he usually eats all of). Concerned due some of the side effects of furosemide

Can I break down a 250mg pill of Metronidazole for dosing a 2 to 3# puppy if they are to have liquid 12mg per 2# pup?
