Dietetic for lambs with heart failure
We have 2 baby lambs, both have congenital Heart Disease, this medication works, it is keeping them alive buy reducing the fluid on lungs and other organs.
We have to crush the tablet and mix with lambs milk, I am guessing they can’t taste it as I have had very few rejections. On the rare occasion they wouldn’t take it with milk, I have sprinkled it on some dried food fed by hand.

How come I can't order 50 like prescription says
- When I ordered Furosemide 20mg tabs they were in a 100 count container pre-filled and sealed by the manufacturer. Perhaps the Petco pharmacy only offers this in the original quantity rather than dispensing lesser amounts. It’s inexpensive either way.

What shape is the pill? I have to split it for my dog and it can be a hassle depending on shapeÂ
- I have gotten several from petco, always small round white tablets . I use a pull cutter and mostly does well. Sometimes they crumble a bit, I figure my boy may not get 100% dose one day but im ok with that. Most of the time it splits pretty well!

Why can't I buy a years' worth at one time? Could I save that way?
- I believe because it’s a prescription and you have to take your pet to the vet every 6 months for blood work before they’ll renew it.Â
