[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super easy to use. I have 6 cats and they seem to not mind it. Ove had brushes that have made some of my cats mad. Even my most agitated cat didn't mind.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] was alright. i don’t think it make more of a shed but it sticked to the while good. I think it is good for what the price was and my cat didn’t mind it. normally with a brush she gets anxious so it is a good alternative

Less shedding

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried the cat brush, and it's been a game-changer for my grooming routine! My cat usually hates being brushed, but with this one, she actually seems to enjoy it! The ergonomic handle makes it comfortable to hold, even during longer grooming sessions. One of the best features is how easy it is to clean. The bristles retract with a simple push of a button, letting me remove all the collected fur in seconds. It’s also lightweight, so I can easily maneuver it around my cat's tricky spots. I’ve noticed a significant reduction in shedding since I started using it, which is a huge win for my furniture and clothes! Plus, it’s gentle enough that it doesn’t irritate her skin, which is always a concern with brushes.

A potent brush

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They're not messing around with this one. I used it on my old lady and you could've built a new cat with all the loose fur it got off. She seemed to enjoy it, so that's good. I did find that, if I'm not careful, it can almost create a bald spot if used repeatedly in the same area. Still, it lessened the hairballs after use, which is always helpful. The handle feels good in your hand and isn't painful with repeated brushing movements. I would definitely look at another Furminator product next time I'm in the market for a brush.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Does a really good job of brushing your cat and getting all the hair! My cat really enjoyed being brushed with it. I haven’t been able to use it for super long but it seems to be durable so far. I would recommend this to other cat owners!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This de-shedding tool for small cats with short hair works great. The tool itself is very sturdy, shaped well for easy use, and seems durable. It's definitely not a brush.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This spray works super well! Our cats usually shed like crazy but after using this a few times it has helped A LOT. There is a big difference. There is a smell but it’s not super strong so I don’t mind it.

I see a lot of great reviews for cats. The ones I’ve seen for rabbits aren’t that good. Has anyone had a good experience with this for their rabbit?

  1. I dont have a rabbit, however a groomer recommended that I not use this on my cat, because it not only removes excess hair it also pulls on hair on his body.  This makes shedding even worse.  She recommends a mitt brush and rub in a circular motion, then remove hair with a normal pet comb or brush

Is a standard size good for a 14 pound short haired cat?

  1. While I use mine for my 15 lb cat, the one for large cats works better. I have 2 small and 1 large one. The small one is best used on kittens and my 7 lb kitty.

What are the differences between the deshedding tool for large and small cats? My kitten is about 1 year old and is 7lb, so 10lb is within his reach but not a guarantee.

  1. The only difference is the siize of the blade. The bigger furminator covers a greater surface area so may need less brush strokes to groom your cat.

Would this work well on a small, short-haired dog (chihuahua, 5 lbs.)? I can't find the right FURminator for both short hair and small dogs.

  1. I think it would work just fine on a Chihuahua. The only thing I'd be cautious about is the metal teeth. You need to use it gently, especially on a little tyke like that one. I used mine on my cats and they hated it.

what is the difference between the short and long haired furminator?

  1. Thanks for asking! The short hair tool works best for coats shorter than two inches. The long hair tool works best for coats two inches in length or longer. For more help contact FURminator at PHGreviews@spectrumbrands.com or call 1-800-645-5154.

Is this the renewaled model which has the edge guard on it?

  1. Hi EUNMI, Yes. This is the new version.
