Looking for pills/vitamins/medicine recommendations for my dogs excessive shedding. He has a corn, soy, chicken and wheat free diet I bought him a shed defender aswell. And I brush his teeth and fur everyday. I am looking for ways to prevent EXESSIVE shedding.
My dogs skin has been dry and looks like dandruff when I brush him. Has pulled hair out on his back
My dog, Leo, is a mini Aussie & he sheds a LOT. I would like to know if there are any possible ways I can reduce his shedding?
Much hair loss of my lebrador dog of 1 and 1/2year
Is it okay to shave, with an electric shaver, a small part of my dog's fur of off his lower back (by the tail)? He has a lot of fleas in that area and it is very difficult to remove them from his thick, black fur. I want him to be relieved of any pain ASAP and shaving (followed by cleaning) seems to be the most efficient and effective method. He is half Lab, so his coat is like a Labrador's.
Is there anythig I can do to reduce the amount of shedding my dog does? He is a mixed hound breed, fine short hair. Sheds constantly. No known allergies. I’ve tried different foods. He is on grain free always.
Our 1 1/2 year old female ragdoll feline started loosing patches of fur for last 2 weeks. No scabs/raw spots on skin. Vetinarian concludes not fleas or ringworm. No known environmental changes or new house products. Now starting Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein Adult HP for 2-3 weeks in case it's food allergies. It's $50 for 7.7 lbs. Is there a less expensive equivalent Purina or other brand?? Thanks from Florida.
Any ideas on this fur loss?
How can I manage my Maine coons fur? He never lets me brush him and he has a small spot that is tangled. Whenever I try he bites and gets upset. I try to be as gentle as I can and reward him but it’s very difficult. I don’t want him to be all matted up-it must hurt! Any and all tips and products I can use are greatly appreciated! Thanks :)
Hello, I have had my beloved cat, Lolly, since kindergarten making her 17 years of age. Recently I retrieved her from my mother's house and noticed her unkempt hair. She now has a surfeit of tangled clumps of matted fur varying in size. How should I proceed, are there any special shampoos or products that would help? I heard they are not supposed to be cut off. Do you have any advice? Thank you, Carla Sanchez
I was looking at my dogs fur & noticed I was able to pull out chunks of fur from her thigh. Is that normal? Should she be seen by a vet? (I understand shedding is normal, but I’m able to get hair off of her specifically her leg in chunks.)
My four months old GSD doesn't shed any hair. I consider myself lucky as there isn't any hair lying around, however is this a matter of concern? Thank you in advance. Good day.
