I have a Furminator descending tool for my small med-long hair cat. How much undercoat should I remove at a time and how often should I use it?
I bought a Furminator for short haired dogs after my girl's bath earlier this week. She's starting to shed due to the change in weather. Though, I've noticed some complications with her fur. The hair on her lower back and shoulders comes out easily, which is great! However, the hair on her mid back is more coarse/rough and takes more effort to comb. Is there something wrong? Do I need a specific shampoo to make it softer? What should I do? Pics: 1. Her entire back. 2. Soft fur. 3. Rough fur.
I am trying to find a grooming brush that would help me with my corgis. I don’t want something that will pull too much fur, I don’t want something that will hurt them. I do have a grooming glove but it doesn’t work as good as I thought.
How can I get Julie to tolerate being brushed? She has long hair, and I try to prevent matting. Sometimes she will tolerate a Zoom Groom for a minute or so, but if I try a bristle brush or pin brush, she gets really agitated. The Zoom Groom isn't as good for clumping hair, so are there any ways to train her for brushing? I'm also trying to keep her weight down, so "tons of treats" isn't a good idea.
Why during brushing my puppy some hair come out with brush
We just adopted a long haired cat and she isn't enjoying grooming at all. I've tried the furminator and deshedding gloves. Do you have any tips for making it more enjoyable for her please?
I have a long haired elderly maincoon/tabby mix with mats all over his body because he is too overweight to reach them and honestly doesnt even try. Is there some product we can use to help him out? Shedding brushes are useless at this point and we've nearly resorted to a professional groomer.
What is a Furminator???? Can i use it on my lab??? Is it safe??? If yes which is the best??? He is shedding lots of fur
I have a one-year-old long-haired cat who is very active. She has 3 areas of horrible matting that I've attempted to work through over the last 2 weeks to no avail because she won't sit still for very long. What can I do to remove these mats from her fur!?
Dr. Hinson, what about the brand Oxyfresh or brushless toothpaste? Either of those any good? Btw, I ordered some Allivet stuff you showed me it’s supposed to arrive today. Both my bubba and Mia have really bad dander. If I brush them, it comes out in handfuls.
Is there a conditioner for my cats coat...she was burned in house fire. She is out if hospital and doing well but her fur is rough. What kind of brush is beat
Any recommendations on a good shampoo. I have French bulldog chi mix he's a brindle and he has sensitive skin and sheds a lot. Thanks.
