The use of a hospital tank is recommended. It is always wise to check your water quality levels to ensure they are within their acceptable ranges before administering any water treatment. No water changes, pH or temperature adjustments necessary if readings are in ideal range. Maintain normal filtration and air.Use 1/2 capful (2.5 mL) per 10 gallons of water. Repeat as needed for not more than 5 days. It is suggested to always increase tank aeration during treatment to ensure an adequate oxygen supply for sick fish. Switch off UV sterilizers during treatment. Should fish exhibit signs of distress neutralize the medication by using an aquarium dechlorinator, such as FritzGuard, Fritz A.C.C.R. or Fritz Complete. Follow the manufacturer's directions for dosing.Note: Not suitable for use with starfish or related species.

MaracynOxy is not a toxic material but certain people may have a reaction.

I purchase this a few weeks ago, I have a 20 gal, recovery tank, seen one of my clown fish not doing so well. So I put him in my recovery tank, added Fritz and follow the instructions on the back label, with the recommended amount of maracyn oxy, had him in the tank for two weeks and he seem to be a lot better.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought this item because it was a new item in the store and wanted to test it out because my fish developed fin rot. I only used it 3 out of the 5 recommended days. 7 of my fish since have passed away and I went to get my water tested and I had mid levels of chlorine in my water. I have well water which doesn’t have chlorine or any additives that tap water has in it and the only product I had used since my water change was this product. Would not recommend.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I originally used this product to treat what I believed to be a fungal infection, but ended up having to euthanize the fish. The bottle says to remove invertebrates, and I elected not to to test that. I did lose 2 nerite snails and a couple of pond snails, but nothing else. On another system I was treating mouthrot, and after a 5 day treatment it did fix the issue and I did not lose any snails in that system. I'd say avoid using in tanks with prized inverts, but if you're not all that concerned it does seem to work when used properly.

Yes, I recommend this product.
