The back of my pet food says the weight in grams per cup of food. I notice when I weigh the food for 1/3 cup it only fills the measuring cup about 3/4 full. Is this normal? also do you know if pet food companies measure the calories per cup based on weighed grams of food or just by standard 8 oz. measuring cups? Thanks!

Jack (12 lbs) licked an empty bowl of chocolate ice cream. The ingredient in the ice cream is cocoa. He probably got a few good licks in before I caught him. Again, bowl was empty, he just licked the sides and spoon. Help?

My puppy has been playing with his food bowl and water bowl for a while now, he broke his first bowls. I bought him new ones, but he just keeps on playing with them. Water is clean and he likes his food, so I don't see a problem. How can I make him stop?
My 15 year old cat has stage 2 kidney disease. She shows no changes in her personality or daily habits. She will not eat any of the renal wet prescription diet food that our vet has suggested. What would be the best brand of store shelf wet food for her? I have been reading labels for high protein and moisture, good Omega 3, low phosphorus and alot of brands seem to be about the same. She is a fussy eater.
I have been wondering this for a while now. But I recently (Dec 5 2018) adopted a lovely 1 year old male cat who I was told weighted 10lbs when i got him. Now they did tell me his food (hill science diet adult 1-6) but not how much he was eating. So I followed the guidelines on the bag which said 1/2 cup for a 10lbs cat. He always goes crazy at meal time so I'm worried am I underfeeding him? Also he looks like he's lost weight but I also don't have a scale to weight him and brushed recently
I am at my breaking point I wish there was a class to take misbehaving young cats . I in the beginning was the nice cat parent but now I’m changing my tone of voice and she still won’t listen to me she now scratches our rug and eats stuff off it like string and when I say no she still does it so I had to spray her with water that didn’t work long so next step was to scruff her that worked for minute but she disobeyed me anyway I don’t know how people truly discipline there cats . My cat has been puking up to 4-5 times a day. We have her on grain free food. She is indoor only. She has no access to chemicals. She poops regular. She has access to her food all day. Puke doesn’t look out of the regular. Just looks like chewed up food. What do I do to help her not puke.
Hello I have a domestic shorthair named Brooklyn he’s 1.5 years of age he recently got neutered 3 days ago he was fine for the last 2 days sleeping and playing little by little bit today he’s been asleep the whole day and I’m a little worried because the vet said he should be back to himself by now and he seemed fine yesterday. I rescued my cat from a neighbor, she was 8 was old and the mother had taken off, the father was their cat and clearly not neutered. Emma now is almost 5 mo old. She likes to suckle on my clothes, near my arms or neck, that is ok but of course she has nails, and kneads them into my skin as she is doing this. I have attempted to stop this behavior by pushing her face away as soon as she starts it, tapping her on the nose gently a few times when she starts and saying no, to no avail. What to do
